Just leveled an alt to 120 with tailoring and enchanting. It wasn’t too bad up to a point. That point being when tailoring needs lots of the almost nonexistent Deep Sea Satin and Expulsom, which means scrapping. But scrapping means no disenchanting for enchanting mats.
I’m also at that level in enchanting where I need Veiled Crystals, but they seem to only drop on the auction house. I’ve never seen one in the wild. And I’m not far from also needing Expulsom for enchanting too (do you know how this profession works, Blizz?).
So, like, how?
I hoard my mats and use them to feed my alts so I’m not selling them as I would have in the past so I can’t speak to the economics. Tailoring anything profitable requires hydros so you’ll be in dungeons all the time if you want to make bank.
I disenchant almost everything.
I used to be like that too. But in 8.1 expusom is everywhere. Crafting mat WQ usually give out expulsom. There’s seem to be a lot of trinket WQ than before too. The green and blue cloth seem to have a really high chance from scrapping blue gear. Dungeon and WQ will give you those.
If you need a lot of expulsom for a crafter, make that crafter’s 2d profession Alchemy. Alchemy lets you transmute (create) 5 expulsom per day, from a few flowers.
I did that on 6 of my crafters, back in the early days of BFA.
