I’m having a great time and I’m excited to be playing classic, but something needs to be done about tagging mobs.
If you damage an enemy at all you should get credit for killing that mob. At least for the first month or so. It would make the experience so much smoother. Instead, we just have massive swarms of players camping quest mob spawn points completely halting the leveling experience.

Whilst I agree with the OP that would make things better, this is a recreation, not an improvement, of the original game. It’s a museum piece. As such, changes are inappropriate.
Exactly. Multi-character tagging is the perfect example of something that feels like a no-brainer quality of life improvement, but actually has a fundamental and very detrimental impact on the social mechanics of the world.
Are you sure though? I think grouping is fine, I’ve played most of the time so far in a group.
But even in a group of 5 you are literally stuck standing there for whoever knows how long camping quest mob spawn points. It makes completing quests like Zalazane almost impossible.

This is exactly what it’s supposed to be.
This is why you form groups with players to kill mobs and complete quests. Tag sharing is one of the most detrimental things that happened to the world of WoW.
Nah I much prefer classic and have played for 13 years. Just think it would help with the initial rush and could be removed later on, similar to layering, to make a smoother launch. Agree to disagree. I’ll continue playing and good luck though!
