The 184 Tablet of Despair my Paladin is currently offered for the Reventdreth World Quest is not for Holy Specialization. As a healer, I’m not looking for on-use trinkets that deal only damage. There’s no situation in which I would choose that trinket over any other caster trinket.

Also there are waaaay to many on-use trinkets currently.
Reminds me of when the game used to think tanking rings were a valid choice for my Enhancement Shaman.
Spec based loot in this game occasionally gets drunk and forgets who you are.
World quest rewards are class based, not spec based.

This is exactly what i’d say… it’s why as Fury spec I’ve sometimes had WQ that gave me a shield
I don’t mind getting a reward for Holy spec, I’d be happy to gear up my off spec. My point is no spec for paladin (or any healer spec) would ever want this trinket.
My fury warrior got a shield quest instead of a weapon quest, plus all my conduit ones are arms. So yeah. Its class based xD.
I always get swords and axes for world quests, never daggers which are what I use for my spec. I eventually just did some pvp to get them.
This is a reasonable point and one that I didn’t understand until I actually followed the link.
Maybe edit in that it is a specifically Intellect DPS trinket, and not an Int/Str/Agi kind? I thought this thread was just going to be about you complaining that you got a Ret trinket.
I went to the link too. Read the flavor text though.
“Sometimes a tool in the wrong hands is a weapon.”
It’s like they are trolling you.
The int doesn’t work for Prot/Ret, but maybe the damage was supposed to make up for it. Then it was supposed to work the other way for holy. Here have some int, but note the damage that you won’t get to use.
I think some of the WQs don’t even distinguish between class, it just looks at main stat and give you reward based on that.
