I have an idea for a Tabard that could be put up on the Trading post. This tabard would allow the person to earn reps (except for the Aldor/Scyer and Scholozar Basin reps, and maybe a few otehr reps like those for the Insane Achievement) While farming Dungeons.
Could even have it where you only earn rep for the older style Reputations not the ones setup like those in Dragonflight where they dont have the Neutral to Exalted rankl system but 1-X ranks. As for the Followers that have their own Rep bar, and those like the Dragon Flight Artisanâs Accord and Wrathion rep could be allowed to let us earn rep for them as long as there reputaion isnt considered Current Content,
Simply, they feel they stack too much value on a single activity, so thatâs why they pulled the tabards way back in WoD in the first place.
Legacy Dungeons offer XP, gear, and transmog.
Modern dungeons offer currency for gear as theyâre part of the current gearing idiom, and also give them the ability to spread out that activity across domains.
i got over 100 Exalted reps, been trying to get myself to get Ravenholdt to Exalted (just need to do the Lockbox grind), Scholozar Basin Reps, 2 of the 3 PVP reps and certain Shadowlands reps. Plus i did say the tabard wouldnât work on current content reps until there considered essentially Old Content, as in the âpowerâ we get from them is no longer relevant to whatever the current Expansion is for that rep, like how the Aldor and Scryer reps now only have stuff that collectors would want.
As I said, philosophically, historically, the designers do not want to funnel players into a single style of content. They donât want folks running endless dungeons for âeverythingâ.
A repeating theme of requests in this game is âI want everything from dungeonsâ. Theyâd rather just kill bosses. Theyâd prefer if the bosses simply lined up in front of them to be killed.
Meanwhile the designers are trying to balance what people want (more stuff for free) with the fact that they have built out this entire world and populated it with a gazillion creatures, areas, buildings, and items.
So, Iâm not saying they wonât go back to shoving everyone into dungeons, Iâm just skeptical because âbeen there, done thatâ. For many activities, they prefer folks out in the world.
Each different mount has a different size, and that size has gameplay impact.
For instance, a bigger mount would get stuck in doors, which is bad, while a smaller mount could go through. On the other hand, a smaller mount could need to swim (which is bad) where a bigger mount would be able to run.
Itâs not a HUUUUUGE impact, but it exists.
I personally prefer smaller mounts because I find it that being able to pass through doors beats anything else lol
I guess thatâs kinda fair lol. If you use a transformation mount (like Hivemind or the sandstone drake) you can fit through any door your character can.
As far as I know itâs still in-game, just a pain in the neck to get. It probably doesnât show up until you have it since itâs secret. Iâve got all four of the monocles you need so hit me up if you ever want to try for it. Weâll need a few other people though.
Mounts are purely cosmetic, as theyâve phased out mount training. At max level, Ground mounts go at like 320% and Flying mounts go 400%. Someone fact-check me here, but my point is that you go faster the farhter you level your character. The only three mounts in retail right now, with any kind of advantage are the Brutosaur, followed by the Grand Expedition Yak, and then the Travellerâs Tundra Mammoth from Wrath of the Lich King.
Everyone goes the same speed. some just look fancier doing it.
Iâm wondering when theyâll put the removed tabards on there.
e.g. the Argent Dawn one from the original scourge event, or the one from the 2008 (?) olympics. I think they already added the pet from the olympic event, didnât they?
