so i remember this being a big deal a while ago and I also remember Blizz assuring us that “tab targeting to adds or trash out of combat” was not a thing anymore. pretty sure I have experienced that on multiple occasions in the last week or so on multiple different toons
I’ve been experiencing this issue as well. I’ll have a group in front of me - and yes I’m facing this group - and when I tab to the next group of 3/4 mobs I end up targeting a group that is behind the adds my group and I have been fighting and I end up pulling that group. When I feign death these adds still run to the group.
I have also been experiencing this issue. My tab target is not 'picking the nearest enemy" a target that is within 10 yds , it consistently targets enemy or non-enemy tagets up to 27 yds from me. The one I should be targeting is right in front of me, and no other target is to my left (going from left to right) and the tag target repeatedly targets other trash or other enemy targets. Please fix your tab targeting.
