Gonna try it to see if it’s a skill issue iirc you have to stand in the poison on purpose or something
Is this the Waterworks final boss? If so yeah it was rough the first attempt or two. After that i realized if it’s green run away far and fast. Fire is easy enough to eat and heal through.
I was able to solo it, it’s just exceedingly annoying and surely overtuned. I soloed all 4 bountiful delves today and this is the only T8 that really was a pain.
Stand on the other side of acid pool (NOT in it lol) as it provides an “invisible wall” for one of his 4 fire bursts. Each burst is about 700k damage, so you’re looking at 2.1M (roughly half my HP) instead of 2.8M damage taken.
I changed Brann to a healer instead of DPS and would pick up his red vials off the floor. I also went to the auction house and bought drums, a flask, and a potion just to zerg the boss down.

Please elaborate; I genuinely didn’t have any issues doing this guy on T8 either time I did it. There were a couple spicy things in there (i.e. the elite Kobolds’ breaths, and one time we had that lobster guy spawn and he railed us since nobody knew what he does) but Waxface seemed genuinely fine.
Waxface 8 was rough on mage, found the solution on wowhead. Set Brann to heal and do white damage to avoid taking aggro, 5 minutes later waxbutt is dead.
Didn’t exactly feel like a skill check, or a triumph.

- Drop the Air Totem so you can move freely without wasting it
- Dodge the green swirl and don’t step on the green pool
- Use defensives when he does the unavoidable AoE (you can also use potions)
- git gud or let Brann tank and carry you lol
I did it but not with revives remaining lol
