Attunements should be removed. I don’t know what Blizz was thinking listening to that miniscule percentage of the playerbase on the forums who said they wanted the unnerfed raids and more time consuming attunements. How did that work out? Oh look, the casuals quit in droves because they don’t want a Classic server to be a damn job.
Blizz, stop listening to the 1% e-sport driven elitist posters. You’re driving away your core audience for the second time.
If we had to attune someone it wouldn’t take long. If you were killing prenerf T5 raids it gets steamrolled now.

How ironic to post this when we just got huge nerfs to T5 content and attunement. Also I’m pretty sure you have to farm previous tier content in order to progress into T6, do you really expect to do BT in dungeon/heroic gear?
People will always pug ssc and TK. The content is nerfed to the ground so even a goldfish can clear it.
The casuals didn’t quit, you’re still here and many more like you who cry about anything in the game that requires more then 5 mins of time commitment.
I’m hardly an elitist, but if your guild can’t kill the current versions of t5 bosses then you need a different guild.
Well if you’d read the OP one of the groups would be people coming back after P1. And yeah someone in T4 BiS could do okay in T6.

No one is taking non guildie fresh 70s to T5 even nerfed. Well they might, but then they wont the next week

This was always the problem with attunements is that despite the claims of the people wearing nostalgia glasses it just created unnecessary barriers.
Right there’s a reason sunwell had no attune and attunes were never really done again.
If attunes are a problem for you then you should just play a different game.
This. Nerfed t5 is a joke to clear, and the attune chain for both BT + Hyjal are very much straightforward and linear. Especially the first half of the BT attune that requires you to do some quests in SMV. I always see people grouping up for those quests. It’s only once you get to the Seers where it requires you to go into Arcaraz and Coilfang that require group/raid teams and like brixtan says: There is always a groups (Either guild runs, GDKP or even soft res) running.
With how nerfed and brain dead SSC/TK are now and how short the quest line is I have no sympathy. Anybody who comes back and wants to raid BT/Hyjal but can’t commit to the tiny hump that is this attunement then they’re time in Outlands is limited to begin with. Think of all the grind to get your gear in a place to even be invited to a raid/pug doing P3 content. The attune is like a fraction of that.

Already attuned to hyjal and as far into BT attune as possible.

The problem is someone bailing on a guild for an entire content phase, arguably the worst content phase of the xpac, then expects to come back and jump into the guild they left behind.
I don’t want someone like that in my guild or on my raid team. What happens when you hit Sunwell and get stuck on a boss for more than one night? Will they suddenly have IRL come up again until you get the boss on farm?
I agree that Attunements will be a barricade to returning players but if they are serious about wanting to see T6 content there is absolutely nothing stopping them from playing right now and getting the attunements done NOW before t6 release.
If you’re planning on returning for T6 content then you should be planning on getting your attunements done now, not the week of t6 content release.
Ah yes, because no one’s real life situation could possible cause them to have to be absent from WoW for awhile. Clearly this could only be malicious intent on their part.
