T0.5 Questline Complete!

This took me forever and gave me gear that’s worse than my blue PvP set, but it was still kinda fun to do and I’m glad I finally finished it. For anybody on Mankrik who helped out a dwarf pally with smelly facial hair at some point over the last 5-6 months, you are awesome and I appreciate you!

I know, nobody cares… I do

Thanks

And yea, it seems to be. The stats on the pvp blues seem to be a little bit higher. It’s fairly close the PvP is slightly better and a lot easier to get. I think t0.5 is really good if you only look at PvE though, some of those pieces are comparable with stuff you get out of MC and a little worse than t2 (though not 100% sure).

I think Blizzard just made the PvP gear a little too good back in the day, haha.

Congrats, I also did the 0.5 on this lock. The hardest part for me was the duke of cinders, or maybe the ogres in DM:N. Not many groups for either of those. What was it for you?

I honestly thought it was going to be the duke but as I was trying to figure out how to unlock that quest line, there was a random advertisement in Silithus for someone looking for a group. So I pretty much freeloaded off all their efforts, lol. The ogres also weren’t too bad for me because my pally can tank LBRS so I just ran that until I got all the beads. You’d think from all those runs I’d have a UBRS key by now but nope!

For me, I got pretty bogged down in two parts… the first was just getting the shoulders and chest. I was blocked on the shoulders for a month or two, maybe? I’m on Mankrik so there’s a lot less folks on that server. I jumped in whatever UBRS groups I could find but I think it still took like 15 or more runs to drop? The second was the quest on the island north of Theramore. I couldn’t solo it and it took me a while to find a group, but I found two really nice people who offered to help me out, even though they didn’t need anything there. If anybody ever needs help with that on Mankrik, I for sure have some karma to repay!

As far as quest lines go, coming from someone who doesn’t super enjoy questing, I actually enjoyed it. It just took you all over and had you touch every endgame instance, I think? I definitely recommend doing it once to say you did, but it’s certainly a journey.

Oh yeah, I forgot you could get the beads from the lbrs ogres. I killed the ones outside DM for hours and hours, must be sub 1% chance to drop from them.

The warlock 4 piece is really cool though. I mean I would be better off with items that do more damage. But it is fun to have a rogue stun you only to get horrified.

Funny, cause those are the two pieces of t0 I’m missing. I don’t really want to finish the questline, but I want the libram from DME.

I’ve done the 0.5 quest twice as im a set collector, and I would say the hardest part is 100% getting all your items. I did it on mage and priest, mage its not too bad to get all your items, but you really need to set a group up to get the devout shoulders from UBRS.

Grats on finishing a really fun quest line!
