System whiners got their wish

I SAW!! I spent like two hours over the weekend making my dragons on WoWhead and I love the sheer variety. And they can add more in future patches, because they have this groundwork set up for it. I’m very excited for Dragonflight.

Agreed. I don’t mind moderate grinds. A good example were the cloud serpents in MoP. I really enjoyed going out there to do the dailies and see the little guy grow up. It was lengthy, but not invasive.

Meanwhile, you need multiple millions of anima if you want everything in Shadowlands, which is hysterically atrocious.

And I’m still trying to get what I can before the end…

This I agree with. it really felt like they just downgraded significantly from artifacts with HOA and the SL systems.

This, it’s just too much to grind out every covenant at once. Wish they had some kind of bonus anima/greatful offering event. It’s like they expect us to play 4 alts, do all anima conductors, callings, dailies on all alts every day. Don’t forget the ZM weekly. We’re talking hours each day solely for that. Have no idea why OP thinks that’s good gameplay.

The problem is they can’t get stuff close in power, and too many people feel like they need to be min/maxed when they’re not doing anything that requires it.

If Blizz could fix those issues, people would play around with all the choices more.

Gear has always been on a toon by toon situation as long as it isn’t cosmetic and it should be . Most don’t have problem with that if that is the only power progression outside of leveling.

Yes . I want them geared I will play them to get them geared .At least I will be able to do it via content I want to do without having to do some kind off weekly power grind I need to get done before I do the content I would like to participate in .

I might have played around if the price of legendaries wasn’t so insane. It’s the exact same issue as the random Legion legendaries, only you didn’t get a choice in what was dropped. It’s hard to play when Blizzard themselves sets the barrier so high it’s detrimental to even try, and this is even beyond the gold cost because Torghast was a problem, too.

That is literally no different than what we had in Legion, BFA, and SL… the only difference is now they finally accepted that we arnt going to keep chasing the carrot on the stick for a fourth expansion in a row… they could put yet another AP grind in, and we’d still have nothing to do aside from World Quests and Dungeons.

Well they recouped some of the dev time by copy paste into talent trees.

Like all businesses, Blizzard wants engagement with their product, not for you to “go play other games”. We will see if absence of grindy systems leads to higher-same-or lower engagement.

It was high, but really people could have tested them out in 190s during s1. Not too expensive if you could make your own or use a ring/neck/cloak. But the powers were so far off balance it wouldn’t have been worth farming the ash even if the bases were free.

Problem is that means more Torghast, and you had to choose if you wanted to play around with others or just upgrade the BiS. If they wanted people to play around, they shot themselves in the foot by essentially putting a barrier of both gold/crafted item and Torghast currency in place. It just…the entire system was a bad idea that could have otherwise been interesting.

The more you force someone to play, the less they’ll want to play. I know that the suits at the top don’t understand that, but it has been proven true multiple times. Yoshi P even says he wants people to play other games to not burn out on his game. Blizzard has been burning out their players for the last six years.

oh lord yes…The wife and I did that one together. LOVED every second of it!

Some Alpha player warned before SL beta hit that anima was going to be that new number grind that many of us would hate. I didnt play enough on beta myself to see it. But after the content went live it didnt take long to figure it out. lol.
No thanks.
Maybe for stellar level mogs, maybe. But not for that mediocre crap.
Jesus…throw some REAL backpacks in there for once, lol.

That’s why I said

people will still chase the carrot on a stick cause idc what a player does in game they always want better gear yet chasing the main carrot on a stick and people will get more bored now. even with systems you can still have multiple toons pretty well off. the only freaking problem i have is blizz can never keep stuff balanced and the fact they brought legendaries back again to fail is more laughable imagine thinking they could put players in charge on pricing legendaries especially on some servers.

My question is, what does Wrath Classic offer that DF doesn’t?

If Wrath = Peak WoW, what is it doing for players DF won’t?

True, but the Dragon Aspects and returning to Azeroth in general are pretty nostalgic.

slower boring leveling thats it and some specs do play better than current versions i only play it so i can fly like i want on my mounts and not be gated by blizz telling me well you will do this new flying whether you like it or not until we tell you will open regular flying.

Without all of these systems and borrowed power and all of those things now they have more free time to develop a proper expansion and game and listen to feedback and iterating on things and developing something more fun for example for me possibly dragon riding and Pokémon snap sorta feature. And plus those systems from Legion / Battle for Azeroth / Shadowlands were so time consuming in terms of development time they had no time to develop a proper game nor did anything fun.
