The forum “system” keeps removing my quoted posts from my posts and notifying my about it. This breaks my post and threads overall because it’s not at all clear who I’m replying to, or what I’m talking about, without showing what I am responding to.
What’s up with that? Seems to happen every time. Very strange.
It’s a standard behavior in the Discourse forum engine, and apparently one that can’t be turned off. If you fully quote the post immediately above yours, the forum software decides it’s redundant and removes it.
You can cheat by editing the quote the tiniest invisible bit (such as adding a space someplace).
