System flags

Probably.

Though you won’t find any kind of unanimous agreement on here.

Too many stakes or self interests involved.

This is why we need Btags under our names.

or account wide ignore. which solves the same problem.

It doesn’t say which one is flagged though.

I might get a message about a flagged post, but not which one. So I sit there wondering what I may have said or which jerks are out there flagging just because they disagree or what ever.

If the post is removed it tells you.

So there is a hang time between when you get flagged and the removal, where one doesn’t know which post was flagged unless they look through their own posts.

btags would just be a bad idea all around.

also there are many times when posts get flagged but never removed or cleared, they just sit there forever hidden.

which is kind of whatever, most messages after like 2 weeks are never seen again anyways.

I don’t like the B Tags on the Forums idea, I feel like it crosses a line. B Tags should be something we give out if we choose.

But they should make a singular Forum ID across our account for all our characters. Call it an F-Tag or an FID. Something only for the Forums.

i dont like the sound of that, though. i think it would be more harmful than helpful imho.

$10 says it was probably the pride event troll thread where op was posting Opinions

Don’t post Opinions in controversial troll containment threads, guys. They’re there to rile up HMPaladins.

can you please elaborate on this?

I didn’t take long for the usual suspects to come in and dump the ideas in thread with no counter.

That’s what a battle tag is for. It’s literally used on all the other Blizzard forums for that specific reason. It’s not a private ID nor does it provide people with any personal information.

In fact, when we make them, it specifically states that it’s meant as a public identifier.

As to the OP, the only time to really worry is if a post is removed AND an account action is taken. Then, if you feel you didn’t violate any rules, you can put in a ticket to appeal the account. action.

Otherwise, yes, the system will tell you when a post has been hidden and despite the reason it’s hidden it will always use the first applied flag as the official “reason” for hiding it.

And no, sadly it doesn’t tell you which post and that’s something I’d love to see changed too.

What line? None of it is personal information. It’s easier to stalk someone by character name than Btag.

Which should be up to the users discretion to hand out.

Not put on display as a means to group punish users who don’t confirm to groupthink.

yeah this makes a good point, same as the other poster above

Sure.

If the original post in the thread is made by a low level/classic/certain void elf hunter asking for lgbtq things and is full of buzzwords or dismissive of others, it’s probably someone trying to stir up drama.

My reasoning is that they’re always started by someone who is never seen again after the first post.

Riling up the paladins is just mentioning lgbtq things and having them shout variations of “shoving agendas”.

Also, you’ll notice that no one ever actually agrees with the op, yet everyone pretends its a huge issue.

How is that “group punishing?” This makes absolutely zero sense.

can classic hunters be void elfs though? i thought that void elves were only in retail?

maybe void elves are in SoD? idk though, i havent played SoD so that would only be a guess
