Is anyone else feeling annoyed with this?
Awesome trinket but not so awesome to have to tab in a cluster of mobs to try to hit the barrels. Especially with this raid and round of dungeons being packed with large pulls.
As another mage mentioned in the forums, please make the barrels cleaveable…
There are some macros that have been posted however I’m out of buttons and everything is on modifiers.
Any feedback regarding a macro that could incorporate a targeting into a modifier macro would be great. thanks!

lol yeah it’s a tad annoying. I just ignore the barrel a little if I have my big burn or mini burn going on a target if there are a lot of enemies. But outside of that it’s sort of fun to blow it up. Especially outside those burn periods, it’s a nice thing!
I’d also like to know how other mages are handling this trinket. Is there a macro that can auto target them? Is that a think?
Here is what I use with the WA aura for tracking them. They last 18 seconds, so even if i don’t always see them, if the WA is lit up you send it (when you’re not blastin.)
It will target the barrel, explode it and switch back to your original target.
/cleartarget
/targetexact Backfill Barrel
/cast [exists] arcane barrage
/targetlasttarget
WA : Synergistic Brewterializer imported by [Karrex]
Also, the barrel will explode if it’s the first target you hit with orb as spellslinger

I was using that macro all day today in M+ with it working perfect and now I’m in raid and it won’t work. Anyone know why it doesnt work in raid?
At least Fire can passively cleave it with Ignite.
Men i went to a m+ darkcleft today i saw a npc with a quest done (?) I went there talk to him.accept the quest … the quest took the trinket 665 hero brewterializer i cant get it restore i jist lost my bis trinket for a stupid quest for the mount of season one …

Oh man, thank you for this!
No problem. Trinkets like this hard to value, as you’re not always going to have the barrels in a good spot.
I am no expert in sims, but I can say when I added more crit to my build with the moxie jug, I get 7mil crits. So, crit might hold a little more weight with this trinket.
On my dev, I use this macro
#showtooltip
/cleartarget
/targetexact Backfill Barrel
/cast Azure Strike
/targetlasttarget
It uses my azure strike which is a resourceless instant cast. If you have anything like that, I’d suggest it. I also changed the weakaura a bit to give a little better sound indicator.
This trinket is a sim trap and shouldn’t be used. On fire it’s ok because ignite triggers them.

It’s a dps loss to use a global on them. It’s a fire or balance druid trinket if anything. It’s for sure sim bait for frost.
spellslinger can cleave with Controlled Instincts talent as arcane and fire can cleave with iginte, frost is probably a sim trap, sunfury is a sim trap too as arcane
Forgot that frost can also be spellslinger and have access to Controlled Instincts talent, didn’t tested yet but should be possible
According to the robot switching to Frost spellslinger results in an 6% ST dps loss. I doubt the Brewterializer will compensate for that, I could be wrong about that though. That is for me though could be different for other people.
I will have to get the blazicon candle to swap mine out. Was baited…been using it and ice lancing it lol My mage has the wrists for fire, the right trinkets and most the suggested bis but the fire dmg is so far under what I do in frost I don’t understand how people get good dps out of it xP
From all accounts on the mage discord the trinket is a sim trap. Go with the carved candle from m+ or the one off sprocket and mugs trinket for short fights or M+. Gally trinket and mugs for raid.
