Sylvanas Windrunner FULL Cosmetic set in Diablo 4 in-game Store, NOT in WoW

Diablo Immortal is what completely made me lose hope for Diablo 4. Had really been considering pre-ordering the game, then just decided to wait and see how D4 would turn out.

For the first time, I can’t say I’m even interested in picking up the game.

Here’s an unwanted D4 rant…

D4 is a garbage game, literally built around the in-game store and engagement metrics… the story is so incredibly drawn out, the pacing is terrible, the zones look bland… the story that you do eventually get to, after a million side quests distract you, is TERRIBLE and BORING. Seriously, “WAIT! Blood petals!” … followed by inane garbage that interests no one.

What an incredible let down that game was. An absolutely terrible game. D4 is a treadmill simulator with mediocre scenery.

Wait until you see someone dual wielding frostmourne in diablo immortal. Yes, Diablo Immortal playes got to have frostmourne before any wow player.

How does that make you feel?

I’m most confident, those at Blizzard who “know” what cosmetics are non-existent (or have yet to be released in WoW i.e. the Dark Ranger General’s Kit), mounts that are incredibly hard to obtain (Invincible 1% drop rate), weapon mogs (Frostmourne) and put them into the Diablo franchise games for players that can obtain them with a credit card swipe, yet, Blizzard has EVERY capability to put those same recent “Warcraft Legends” cosmetics that are in the Diablo 4 Shop in WoW either Trading Post or obtain them through a questline.

And yes, it’s pretty upsetting to say the least, that a game apart from WoW dishes them out for players with a price tag which is understandable bc Diablo really don’t make their money with just game sales.

And yea, as a fellow UDK, It would be nice for DK’s to wield a Frostmourne cosmetic. Should of been standard from the get go.

Diablo Immortal gave frostmourne out as a reward for doing 3 dungeons during the event. That’s all. Maybe 10 mins of play.

Here’s the logical black hole from a player perspective:

  1. Wow is a continuation of the warcraft story within that universe.

  2. Wow eventually tells Arthas’ story.

  3. As part of the player experience, we are given the opportunity to get Shadowmourne, an Axe that was Retconned out of Nothing to give Players a Carrot to Chase, even though Prior legos were the item the bad guy used, rather than the Walmart version we fake at home.

  4. Frostmourne is the titular LK weapon, we don’t get to use it in Wow. It’s just kind of addressed as ‘Shadowmourne is the sister blade to frostmourne, it’s evil, and you are creating it to fight the LK.’ /myfacewhendevsRPtheirjobs

  5. Players proceed to log into Diablo Immortal, a game that has NOTHING TO DO WITH WOW IN ANY CAPACITY, able to participate in some crossover promotion event (xovers are usually to bring together IP from DIFFERENT COMPANIES, but w/e), where you do something that amounts to maybe 10-20 minutes of super casual gameplay, and you get Frostmourne automatically.

So like, how does this sort of logic make sense to a developer? More money > Less money? There will be enough happy players logging in to get Frostmourne in a Diablo game, that players won’t be upset by it? Or that Players won’t notice cuz Wow players don’t play Diablo?

The final straw for me? They added the Spectral Steed to Diablo 4. That game isn’t even a finished game yet. Like, no part of it qualifies as a completed AAA title, one should actually try to enjoy in 2024.

Going to inquire about a refund for mine, because at this point, I don’t feel confident anyone in Blizzard is putting meaningful effort into D4. Season 6 is supposedly going to level squish characters to 50? So they can reduce the level cap? Why?

This is why we can’t have nice things as a player… and why I don’t want to pay money for this anymore.
