Sylvanas is not redeemable, don't try to force it

If they try to there will be huge backlash from the community. People are already frustrated by the gameplay, now you have the storyline issues added on to it.

Her actions are clearly as bad as Gul’dans arguably worse.

The only “redemption” for her is Greymane beheading her and having her head displayed in Stormwind next to Onyxias.

That is her fitting redemption.

Anything less than that is spitting in the face of Alliance players(As well as many horde who don’t like her either).

It’s insulting to our intelligence to even suggest that a genocidal character that took pleasure in burning people alive at Teldrasssil or unleashing plagues to wipe out all life(not just human, animals/plants too) is redeemable.

I know the writers view her as the 2nd installment of Thrall, their golden girl with plot armor, but its time to move on to something else.

The sylvanas storyline is WAY past its time. it should have ended after Varian tbh, Greymane should have gotten revenge for his people and Varians death right there and killed her.

Shes not redeemed yet but that looks like the direction they are heading. I’m saying its a very bad decision if thats what they are going for.

She will sacrifice herself to save us; she will die for the haters and be a HERO for us loyalists!

Victory for Sylvanas!

What did you all think that was all that was left of her was pure evil that none of you thought there was a good part of her out there somewhere waiting to be put back into her and she would relize all the mistakes she has done, and even the evil one dosn’t like being a puppet. All my blood elves are happy they she is heading to one day be who she used to be before arthas killed her, that her story hasn’t past. I don’t think she enjoyed it because she thought she was doing her part for her new master but she found out to late that she was fooled i get why don’t you?

Id much rather she be “redeemed” than killed off. I just want her leading the forsaken again. She was an awesome character. Still is.

There was already huge backlash from us when they tried to turn her into a villain.

Nothing Sylvanas has done since Cataclysm has mattered since the Jailer has possessed her soul since then.

This was always intended and just wasn’t revealed until now.

every time a forsaken is brought back even the first time they are not the same as they were before we get this detail from lillian voss in the war campaign during bfa.

Just a small clarification that sylvanas has been without part of her soul since the moment she died. Its likely the jailer has had it since then.

It however was only after wrath when sylvanas killed herself that she found herself in the maw and met the jailer for the first time.

Sylvanas almost certainly didnt know that she was lacking part of herself and he had it. She just found herself in hell and he offered her the only way out of it.

It will be hilarious when Sylvanas is restored back to herself before Arthas killed her.

She will again become the Alliance leader who viscously hunted and killed the orcs while chasing them out of the ghostlands.

During the Second War, the high elves initially sent only token support to the Alliance, though Sylvanas’ older sister Alleria took her squad of rangers and joined the fight against the Horde as well.

After the forests of Quel’Thalas mysteriously began to burn, Sylvanas and her rangers set out to discover the cause. She came across both her sisters being chased by a band of forest trolls, whom they dispatched quickly. Alleria alerted Sylvanas of the coming orcish Horde, and that it was they who were burning Quel’Thalas with dragon fire. Sylvanas and her rangers moved quickly to meet the Horde and trap them between themselves and the Alliance forces under the command of the paladin Turalyon. The battle took many turns but ultimately the Horde abandoned Quel’Thalas. Sylvanas stayed behind to hunt down any remaining orcs. Shortly after, the Horde was defeated, the Dark Portal destroyed, and the Second War ended.

She also will hate the Forsaken (who were part of the Scourge at that point and trying to destroy her homeland).

Blizzard would effectively have her be fighting against her three biggest supporter groups.

A redemption hasn’t happened yet and doesn’t mean it necessarily will.

Sylvanas did all this willingly out of a goal to reformat the afterlife. The Jailer tricked her into thinking his intentions were on the same level as hers. But Sylvanas still probably hasn’t changed her mind or regrets any of it even she is now an enemy of the Jailer.

But whatever happens, redemption, death, punishment, etc, I really don’t think Sylvanas’ character will continue past SL. This still has all the signs of being the endgame of her story in WoW.

her soul was pulled into the maw by the jailer he is the one through arthas that made her into what she became no no doubt knew how to minipulate her the most.

Ah,. another “Sylvanas redeemed” post, we needed it.

My response in a nutshell: I don’t care, so guess I’m not part of the ‘huge backlash community’.

Yeah hes really good at what he does.
His character is kinda boring.
But hes very good

he tricked sire denathrius to join him only to abandon him when we beat him, tricked DEVOS the PARAGON of loyalty the very aspect of loyalty the fact he could minipulate them and others shows his ability to minipulate others is like top tier minipulating sylvanas for him took little to no effort.

i would be 100% cool with greymane or tyrande coming in there and just stabbing her. dont care if she’s in jail or right in the middle of telling all of the jailer’s secrets. just straight stabbin’

get it over with already

I doubt she’ll get actual redemption, but I think he demise will be nuanced, and not a simple black and white story.
