The Sylvanas on the Story Trailer released not too long ago seems kinda sus, she seems way too… kind in a way can’t think of a proper word at the moment. But her voice there seems way too soft and happy in a way. It feels like it really isn’t the Sylvanas we know that was shown or maybe it is and just something has happened for her to act as such.
Also wondering whom she could be telling all this to, being the person that I am I would like to say Anduin. Since she seems so intent on changing Anduin’s views or controlling him in a sense. But what if this is not the Sylvanas we know? Then I’m mores sure it is Anduin she speaks to though to be honest I’m very unsure on whether or not my latter statement on who she is.

All Sylvanus would want to do is turn him into a new undead for her to use

I actually like it.
I mean, she’s likely talking to the deity she follows and that promises her freedom. It shows some “humanity” in her.
If she kept being the smug 7D chess Sylvanas she is with everyone else, it’d be strange.

Manipulated or not, she needs to get harpooned.
Frostmourne didn’t make Arthas. The dark part of him had always been there. Like a Vader
Yet, here we are setting ourselves up for redemption arcs with “i wuz only fulluwn ordas” trope

Sylvanas did nothing wrong.

I guess it’s just strange to me, I’m probably just so use to her sounding annoyed/agitated of the sorts when talking that hearing her like this is rather strange.

She wants the D.
The D is for Death.

I think it’s sus how she kidnapped faction leaders instead of killing them. I think it would have been easier to send them to the maw by killing them.

Yea I don’t think she intends to kill them, if not her at least the Jailer doesn’t wish for them to die, at least not yet.

She’s talking in the same sort of style as Azshara.

My theory has been that she genuinely thinks she’s the good guy in all this, and is doing the right thing in the name of the “greater good”… without realizing what she is actually doing; becoming public enemy number one, a homicidal maniac, etc. We all know she’s the bad guy, but she’s the hero of her own little world.

I can see it [hear it I mean].
It has a certain smugness that only some demented evil royal narcissist would have, matches spot on.

With Anduin, that’s just Sylvanas. She likes to play with her food.
She definitely see her self as doing something good, whether it is true or not if its the right path we do not know as of yet. She says she is trying to get Everyone to control their own Fate and so Sylvanas sees it as something Good no matter what was sacrificed to get to this path.

Though it didn’t really sound as if there was any Malice behind her words, her facial expressions also don’t show any. More of Relief, Happiness or Hope which is disturbing at least to me to see such expressions coming from her.

Not really suspect.
As for the other peoples’ comments. They were kidnapped to give a reason for everyone to go to the Jailer. It was a plan.
Kinda like Azshara had made a pact with Sylvanas to get everyone to her back in Eternal Palace.
I hope when we bring her down that I get her quiver.
