Sylvanas is a Dreadlord

I know the popular fan conspiracy theory is Jaina is a dreadlord… but what if all this time Sylvanas has been a dreadlord… that whole part about her throwing herself off of ICC and magically somehow self resurrecting herself (or that time she was shot in the head and killed)… what if instead it’s been a Dreadlord who took her place and she’s been a dreadlord all along, while the real true Sylvanas actually died those many years ago.

Blizzard promised that Sylvanas wouldn’t be a Garrosh 2.0, so this is imo the only way it wouldn’t be Garrosh 2.0, because if it is indeed the real sylvanas that we’re dealing with, then it has been most definitely Garrosh 2.0.

This would also explain her drastic actions all throughout the past couple expansions… It also explains why the Valkyr would work for Sylvanas in the first place since the Scourge Valkyr originally worked for the Lich King whose helm of domination and sword were provided to the Burning Legion by the Dreadlords who we learn thanks to Shadowlands lore, they were orchestrating all of this behind the Burning Legion’s back since we learn that the Jailer had the Helm of Domination and Frostmourne created and gave them to the dreadlords to deliver to Azeroth.

And with the book Enemy Infiltration in Shadowlands talking about how the dreadlords have infiltrated all the various cosmic powers, whom themselves are likely working under Sire Denathrius who himself was working for the Jailer, makes sense why Sylvanas would be working for the Jailer if she is infact a dreadlord…

Also there’s a part in Enemy Infiltration that talks about one of their operatives infiltrating life, which can either be talking about the cosmic force of life (i.e. Eronar, Freyja, emerald dream or whatever), however this can also be referring to real life, as in literal living beings/morals, aka us, and refers to that operative by “her” (aka Dreadlord Sylvanas) and this is the only use of a gender pronoun in that whole book (intentional gender drop by Blizzard), and how the operative “gained the trust of her target”, meaning, she fooled us into thinking that they are the real Sylvanas, gained the trust of the Forsaken, the Horde, etc…

Or what if there was never an undead Sylvanas… When Ranger General Sylvanas Windrunner fell in battle against Arthas, that is when she actually ceased existing on Azeroth. Instead it has been a Dreadlord all along, who proceeded to make up the whole identity of the undead Sylvanas, who somehow “magically” broke free from the Lich King’s domination and “magically” stayed resistant to being re-dominated like the rest of the scourge, even when standing literally toe-to-toe next to the Lich King, which invalidates the BS range excuse of being outside of the Lich King’s range of influence/control.

Lastly this explains why a Dreadlord Varimathras would serve openly under Sylvanas, then considering the things Varimathras said during the Antorus raid, they take new meaning when applied to the events of BFA and Shadowlands and Sylvanas being a Dreadlord too, and this explains how Varimathras would have knowledge of what’s to come since he like all other dreadlords know what’s to come, what their ultimate grand plan is and what Dreadlord Sylvanas is going to do next to accomplish the end goal.

What if the real dreadlords were the friends we made along the way?

Nah, it’s an Ascian using her corpse to sabotage WoW.

This was a theory going around for awhile at the start of bfa iirc, people just kind of abandoned it after awhile however.

Then we’ve been infiltrated, and it’s time to clean house.

She is basically the face of the franchise at this point and the main antagonist since she took her full heel turn so I doubt they’d go that route even though it’s a fun idea.

I have sort of a rough prediction. She sets Anduin free, the jailer turns her into some kind of super monster that we defeat and thus ends her tragic villain arc.

I think they’ve taken her too far for any kind of redemption to be plausible. Maybe a noble sacrifice or something. Either way, I don’t see her making it out of the shadowlands.

Or, they could go the complete other way and have them succeed and throw everything into chaos and we go full guardians of the galaxy and travel the cosmos trying to restore balance to the force or whatever, but I find this less likely as it would probably be too out there for most people.

No! Not everything is a plot of Lahabrea’s!

I would accept Dreadlord Sylvannas over Redemption Arc Sylvannas any day. Used to like her, now I’m just mad at the writers for bungling her character.

I mean, the recent cinematics pretty much blow this theory out of the water because there’s no reason that a dreadlord would be hemming and hawwing about corrupting anduin when noone else is looking.

You can say, well uh the dreadlord is just being ExTrA SnEaKy, but yeah Blizzard isn’t the Coen brothers, their writing is weak and made up for the moment most of the time and its not that.

If anything, it makes more sense that it would be something like Talia Fordragon or Calia Menethil, since those characters basically just appeared out of the blue around the time Blizzard was working on this script. lol

All you need to do is look back at previous times the Dreadlords have been in Lore… they do their job by convincing/manipulating people to join them and/or make people corrupt themselves by their own accord.

A good example is Khadgar, the dreadlord who tried to trick him by convincing him to become the Guardian and ultimately serve the Legion. Almost accomplished this through words and deception alone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW5IYrgOgYU).

Or the Dreadlord who manipulated, tricked, and turned the Scarlet Crusade into a fanatical cult, did this through deception and manipulation alone.

That’s how dreadlords operate… they infiltrate, deceive, and manipulate people… they make people become the agents of their own corruption and/or manipulate/convince them to do something, to turn against others, or adopt fanatical beliefs/causes. The Dreadlords aren’t really all that “hands-on”, they don’t go around forcing people to do things by corrupting them themselves, etc.

Feels like I’ve seen this before

Dreadlord jaina > jaina

Denathrius is a Dreadlord.

Jaina’s just a Mary Sue and Sylvanas is an evil Mary Sue.

The Jailer is 5 stacked Murlocs in a Jailer suit.

I could see this. Everyone wanted to look at Ysera and life realms as the Emerald Dream, but that isn’t really the life realm, the mortal realm is.

Also lore has made it clear that even Ardenwield is apart of the plane of death, it isn’t life.

This is why I think that page in Enemy Infiltration mentions Ardenweld, to throw us off, to make us think Ardenweld or somethign else is the plane of life or connected to it, when in reality we already know Ardenweld isn’t… The only connection Ardenweld has to life is us, the Living Morals from Azeroth who fill their anima coffers. we’re the true realm of life in the Warcraft Universe.

Also when you keep this in mind (that we are the plane of life), the part on that page in Enemy Infiltration takes new meaning “The adherents to Life are the most insidious of opponents”, this refers to the fact that we seem to be the only opponent that the Dreadlords have to be extra careful around because we have shown on numerous occasions to have uncovered and defeated dreadlords, plus we are not as easily convinced/tricked as most of the other cosmic forces sound like they are in the book.

Sylvanas’s 36d chess moves is getting that burger to Topper McNabb so he doesn’t have to pay for it on Tuesday.

The true Dreadlord is Topper McNabb but luckily for us his cheeseburger addiction keeps him sated and peaceful.

Sylvanas was compelled to commit suicide in Edge of night to bring someone back with her. He is in control since end of Legion. Could be confidential but there are a lor of hints in-game.
Maybe i am wrong but from this perspective, storywise BfA was a masterpiece.

I am pretty sure she us either a cylon or a skrull just like the rest of us.

Edit: I call dibs on Dreadlords
