Silverpine Forest quest, The Warchief Cometh. Dialogue that was written before December 7, 2010.
Garrosh Hellscream : What difference is there between you and the Lich King now?
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: Isn’t it obvious, Warchief? I serve the Horde.
In 2010 she was already pure evil. She murdered anyone just to mind control them and build her army. During Wrath of the Lich King she plague bombed both the Alliance and Horde at the Wrath Gate.
Am I missing any details that could prove this wrong?

People don’t want to admit that she’s evil. Newsflash: Sylvanas Windrunner has been and always be evil. The fact that she’s this objective amongst the community is something they’re doing right.
As Alex Afrasiabi said at Blizzcon 2018: “Sylvanas would find Garrosh’s questionable actions as Warchief to be amateur.” (Something like that).
I love that she burned down Teldrassil. She needs to end up being an enemy of pure evil. I can’t wait to take that b**ch down.

sylvanas has been evil since she was risen in WC3.
Keeping demons as servants.
breaking deals she made. (garithos had it coming, but she still broke a deal)
hell, when she freed nathanos from the lich kings control she ordered him to keep killing people.

The only reason why there was such an outrage about what Sylvanas has done in BFA is because we live in 2019 - the age of the paper thin skinned, entitled, rage babies who think they can complain about every little thing that doesn’t go their way and instantly get whatever their desire always.

I’m glad everyone agrees then.
I love Sylvanas but I also can’t wait for her to die with some beautiful writing and story and probably animation along with it. I have a $100 statue of her in my house. It’ll still be there after she’s dead too.

Sylvana has as much chance of dying as Jaina .

That’s actually true. I still think it would be amazing if she can be redeemed somehow as a hero. Now THAT is a solid story. (Though she’ll probably die in the process.)
And? Your point is what exactly?
Syl does not have to die! Just be dismissed from the warchief post, be humiliated by Greymane (again) and driven out of the Horde!

She was a hero … turned into a villain due to circumstances and fate .

My point is that Blizzard isn’t just writing a Garrosh 2.0 story like what people have been saying in comments.

More likely that she will put the dog to heel than the other way around .

Context is important here.
Garrosh was intentionally trying to weaken and then get rid of Sylvanas by sending her to siege Gilneas. He was pretty outspoken with his hatred of her so he put huge restrictions on her like not using blight, no reinforcements, and under constant watch to make sure she stayed within the pointless suicide mission he sent her on.
Sylvanas knew this but couldnt directly fight back, so she was extremely passive aggressive about it like with those lines. She was goading him and not letting him get what he wanted by making her own reinforcements.
Stated multiple times already, she didnt do this, that was Putress who was already against Sylvanas who he saw as too weak handed in her approach and was part of a larger group that tried to form a coup of Undercity and kill Sylvanas.
All that said, yes, she is evil.

I hope she kills that stupid dog

Wait really? Putress? I had always thought it was her since Arthas said “Sylvanas” when the plague bombs were dropping. I’ll take your word for it on that though.

At the time, I looked at the Cataclysm questline/dialogue and even the use of plague as a petty, rebellious “my woods, my rules” reaction to the post-Wrathgate lockdown of the forsaken by the rest of the Horde.
In hindsight, I may have given her a wee bit too much of a pass.
