Why the hell hasn't she ever done that before? That trick she did in battle for Lordaeron would have been extremely useful at least a dozen times before in the earlier story, if not more.

Isn't it kinda weird how she can seemingly phase between her banshee form and possessed body form at will? I'm not against it, I think it's a cool ability, just wondering how that works.

Honestly could be that she just recently discovered it.
She also now has the necromatic power to raise an army from the dead and also has telekinesis for...reasons.

Well, she did a pretty good job flying into Frostmourne.

It's not any worse than Anduin running up and destroying a tank by stabbing at it, despite the fact he's supposed to be in chronic pain from having every bone in his body shattered so badly even the light couldn't fix him totally.

Bell > Anduin > Tank
Clearly Sylvanas should have just shoved a bunch of Azerite into bells and dropped them on top of the alliance army if she really wanted to kill Anduin
My theory is that Helya upgraded Sylvanas in addition to giving her the soulcage.
Of all of Sylvanas's most recent upgrades, flying is the least offensive and seems like it should have always been in her toolkit.
