If you end the Sylvanas fight as she is casting the Raze on the final platform and then skip the end fight cinematic, you will die to the Raze on the platform. Releasing at this point ports you back to the phase 1 platform and you are teleported back to the release point every 5 seconds unable to do anything except leave the raid and get mailed your loot.
This is by far the dumbest bug I have ever witnessed. How was this not discovered in internal testing? “What happens if they end the fight as the final Raze is casting?” is a very obvious edge case to think of and test.
EDIT: Upon leaving the raid group and being teleported out, I was mailed loot but not the Stygian Embers that I should have been awarded.

Worth noting an update here that we killed it on Wednesday without the Raze going off and the people who released still had the phase 1 platform bug. However, when we summoned them to the final room they were able to move normally and loot the chest.
Submitted a ticket and blizzard said unable to give me the stygian embers I should have got. Nice. If this happens to anyone else I suggest begging people in your raid group for a rez and not releasing or you will be permanently behind on stygian embers like me.
I managed to get summoned back to the p3 platform, but could not interact with the loot box at all. Nothing was mailed to my toon after leaving the raid either. Submitted a ticket and got a canned response saying GMs cannot perform loot action. It’s just ridiculous.
