Sylvanas Boss Fight dungeon guide text **Spoilers**

Warlocks don’t just serve the burning legion. The entire order hall campaign shows this.

Some did, and they got stamped out in Orgrimmar thanks for Garrosh. Gul’dan did but was never allied with players…not was the shadow council.

None of the alliance warlocks were ever shown to be in league with the Legion.

And as there are still demons and it’s a valid school of magic to study, that’s more than enough reason to keep them around. Utilizing the power of demons for our own purposes.

The burning legion still exists, it’s just crippled. Demons still exist. And warlocks and demon hunters interact with them in entirely different manners, so I don’t see why you consider them the same.

Demon Hunters consume demon souls for power. A demonologist instead studies all demons and knows how best to utilize each to great means. On paper, and in game they are nothing alike. Demo warlocks are a long way from the time they had metamorphosis as a glyph and very different.

… Talent…? Regardless, removed.

My reasons are

  1. She lies (it’s clear when she’s lying)
  2. She’s nuanced
  3. No one believes when she’s telling the truth. (Because of, but also despite, #1)

He also died wanting to give the next generation a chance at the honor he came to believe his generation was never worthy of. “They Deserve Better”. Better than Blackhand. Better than Doomhammer. Better than Ner’zhul, Garrosh, Sylvanas … and himself. TBH, despite Anduin’s weak BS, The Negotiation has some of the best Saurfang characterization in BfA. So seeing his soul destroyed and made into property, no matter how flawed and contentious he was in the end, does not please me.

I’ve only gotten info on the PTR from wowhead - so all I’ve basically seen is the item itself - but I don’t understand why you say his soul is destroyed. We saw destroyed souls -> soul ash -> clothes (I’m wearing PEOPLE!).

With the trinket, I figured it was more “Hey, Saurfang’s stuck in a gem - he’s kind of like that floating head - I wonder if he’ll whisper to me in combat.” Maybe for some folks it was a “HE’S ALWAYS WITH ME!!!”

I assumed it was partly to make folks ask, “Did Sylvanas trap him in something to torture him, or save him from being tortured?!”

I also see the aspect of it becoming property which has all sorts of terrible references. It also means at some point we’ll be disenchanting him or vendoring him - which is pretty awful. Yeah I hope they rethink this one. This is a bad idea.

Here’s the soul of one of the greatest warriors in Azeroth’s history, thanks for the 73 gold.

I’d be surprised if we end up seeing The Dark Forest in this expac, given Blizz’s need to retcon away interesting things and replace them with less interesting things.

You can disenchant it, use the materials to empower some of your best items and sleep well knowing how on a daily basis Saurfang helps you to overcome whatever challanges you may encounter.

Saurfang was also playing into a Cycle of Hatred himself. He calls Sylvanas the Blackhand to his Orgrim. He’s drawing a line in the sand between “good” Horde and “bad” Horde and ignoring the fact that he himself was part of the “bad” Horde longer than he was part of the “good” Horde to mediate some of his own guilt and remove for the things he did. In a way he’s just like Garrosh…

Sylvanas says there is no good Horde, bad Horde. The Horde is the Horde, in the present, the only thing that matters is the future. Which is ironic, that she ignores the past, since the Horde killed her family, her parents and her little brother.

He literally says he’s never known Honor, and admits that his generation was never worthy of the Honor he tried to aspire to? He openly states his death will not absolve him of his sins and mistakes, and then responds to being asked “what sort of warchief HE will be?” with “they deserve better.”

As for Sylvanas. If that’s what you truly believe even after BtS and BfA, there is nothing that I could possibly say to deter you from it. She just cares SO MUCH about the Horde and Forsaken.

I just had a weird thought.

Maybe the NE bias in the story is related to the fact that they monopolize thier connection to the Emerald dream.

This is with the pretense that the Emerald Dream controls the reality of Azeroth. The Trolls had dominion until the dark trolls took control of the Well of Eternityand became the NE.

Void/Death is trying to break into the Emerald Dream using the Emerald Nightmare. After the Nightmare gained a small amount of control Teldrassil (the link between the NE and the Dream) was severed.

Speaking of Void Prophecies remember this one from the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron?:

  • It is standing right behind you. Do not move. Do not breathe.

As soon as the Eye of the Jailer standing in the sky bombarding the path to Korthia is right behind you during your first trek to Korthia under the shroud of invisibility our friend Ve’nari immediately says “Stop.” followed by “Not. A. word.” as the Eye flies right in front of you and looks at your location until it gets bored allowing you to breath and move again!

The riddle which appeared to be a prophecy of some unspeakable horror creeping up behind you turns out to be a warning that the thing you thought you had just sneaked past would notice something was off causing it to rush to your general location find out what it was!

Also to note: https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/2500342-9-0-General-Discussion/page3398?p=53133894&viewfull=1#post53133894 mentions that one of the Storylines is Path of Night… Who knows if that is related to the “Night Falls. Her song will end.” prophecy

It’s a pretty nice mount. I have Invincible…now I need this one.

I have yet to get invincible, despite how many years I’ve tried and how many high level alts I have to run it. I’m sad about it

I’m disgustingly lucky with mounts to the anger of many of my friends, many of them playing since vanilla when I only joined last month of Wrath. I got invincible iirc during MoP, just 2.5 years into playing the game and only “farming” it for about 1 year.

I would be more lucky with farming old mounts, if I wasn’t such a disgustingly super casual player who spends more time roleplaying than doing actual content(which is just as much fun mind you) :wolf:

Nothing wrong with RP, it can really extend the longevity of a game. I don’t really RP on WoW, but back when I played ESO its almost all I did.

I fall into this trap to

It keeps me playing honestly, since I’m not into mythic dungeons/raids or PvP, so I get to pick the content I find fun and work on that instead.
