9.2 release date confirmed.

Or maybe 9.1 at this rate lol.

Enough with sylvanas, please! I’m tired of seeing her everywhere.

It should be delayed into oblivion and never come out. It’s an abomination.

This means that something in the book will have to do with 9.2 content.

Which means we’re not done with her in 9.1

This displeases me.

Obviously yes.

Book’ll probably be out before 9.1.

I was trying to be funny, but I just made myself sad.

It’s not necessarily patch related. The summary kind of makes it sound like just a biography of her life, beginning to end. Something to memorialize her character. Depends what happens to her in 9.1.

Next Blizzcon will probably be late February too so the book seems to line up with that now.

9.2 I think will be December or January for sure. It has to be before Blizzcon, and the Sylvanas book, in my opinion. That way we can see the next story arc and then Blizz can freely talk about the finale of SL and the reveal of the next expansion. Which is going to happen there. The book’s timing feels too late for it to matter with 9.2.

I’m not, she’s been one of the most interesting characters the Horde has spit out in awhile.

I see this a lot, and not being sarcastic, who would you like to see more of instead?

I’m okay with relegating her to back story, off to find herself, all of her - then coming back when needed like Thrall

Gazlowe, Shandris, Flynn & Shaw, pretty much any of the dragons, some new original characters that get some actual development would be neat

Sylvanas isn’t the undead waifu we deserve but the undead waifu we need.

Huh, usually that only happens with Magni…

There are so many characters that have been ignored, like: Velen (what is of him now that the Legion has been defeated), Gazlow, Shandris, Wrathion (what he has been doing in Legion and now), Valeera, Vereesa, Callia, Lorthemar, just to name a few. Velen was ignored up until Legion, Valeera has a few cameos here and there, Gazlow is… there, Vereesa is… there, Lorthemar is… also there. Just recently Blizz started to develop Tyrande and Shandris (who also have been ignored for most of wow). And no, I’m not talking about books, novels, comics, etc etc. I’m talking about IN GAME STORY.

Everything now is sylvanass this, sylvanass that, sylvanass trading card game, anduin this, sylvanass novel, and more sylvanass. We’ve had sylvanas since Legion. Lilian Voss is already more interesting than Sylvanas.

Lorthemar, Thalyssra, Gazlowe. More on side characters, like Saffy and Grizzek, or Wrathion. I’d love to see a novel about the Drust, because Drustvar was my favorite part of BfA.

But more than novels to tell the parts of the story we should be getting in game, I’d like to see novels explore AU things like the dark futures we glimpsed in the horrific visions. Expanded multiverse stuff that just explores interesting stories, rather than vital chunks of the main story that are required to fill in the massive gaps left by the game’s narrative.

Author kills off Vol’jin with some of the worst writing in history.

Vol’jin, who was described as a master strategist who’s plans never fail, gets stabbed on the front lines by random demon #4558456 to make Sylvanas the main character.

Vol’jin, arguably one of the coolest leaders, one of the original leaders, hand picked to lead the horde - dead, no expansion or story for him.

Nathanos is evidently a vampire now? And somehow so is Sylvanas?
Sylvanas and nathanos are now vampires? Sparkly vampire lore gets inserted into wow. We are now World of Twilight because of this writer.

The writing died with Vol’jin. It’s not Warcraft anymore.

You had me at Saffy!

It still makes me angry that Vol’jin was only Warchief during the expansion where the faction leaders didn’t put in any kind of appearance, except to congratulate us on our rank 3 garrisons.

I think it’s just so it releases in time for Blizzcon. Since that was also delayed.
