Sylvanas beats Bolvar? HECK NO

I don’t care if she’s hyped up on whatever magic, there’s no way she should be able to 1v1 the damn Lich King and his army.

That was so dumb and so stupid. Even in WoD and BFA at least the cinematic was awesome.

This is the first time I see a Blizzard cinematic and am thoroughly disappointed.

Especially when it was sandwiched between two great ones for D4 and OW2.

Well, Sylvanas has all the powers of the writers combined, just like Nathanos did in 8.1.

How? Bolvar hasn’t trained or moved in a year. Why would you think he would win against an active, battle training ranger?

Why not? Prior to this we had no basis for the capacity of her new powers. Now we do. It’s meant to be shocking that she beat him!

It would have been, if many of us weren’t already sick to death of her as it is.

To be fair. Sylvanas is being backed by some…death emperor, god thing, supposedly anyway from the preview trailer.

Bolvar has no Frostmourne and has been stuck glued to a throne for so many years and was clearly weaker then Arthas to start off with.

Cinematic was beautiful and epic

Idk…every time I roll into ICC I beat the Lich King pretty handily :stuck_out_tongue:

Heck no? Cause you say so?.. geez people can be pretty hard-headed when it affects a character they idolize or something lol

I don’t get why so many people think Bolvar is so strong? He’s a burnt corpse that doesn’t have frostmorne and is mentally battling to stay sane and in control of the armies of the dead.

Doesn’t that mean if she broke the lich kings crown , That means nobody is control the full force of the undead now? Isn’t that why there always had to be a lich king.

Because this isn’t Dragonball Z and you don’t get significantly stronger just because you “trained”?

One who was not only given a helping of the Forsaken Blight, but got roasted by dragons.

I 1v1’d the damn Lich King and his army every week until a dead pony fell out of his butt. I basically one shot him. He’s a joke now.

Sylvanas one-shotted Saurfang. She can handily handle (ha!) the damn Lich King.

Bolvar has just been sitting there since taking the throne… he hasn’t leveled up at all. Also he doesn’t have Frostmourne which was like 80% of Arthas’s power.

Not to mention his HoA is at 1 probably… he should of gone to do more Islands! :stuck_out_tongue:

True. The purple chains being key.

Whenever you see purple, it means she’s using her ‘new found’ powers.

I expect we’ll understand these powers better in the shadowlands.

That’s not true at all. Frostmourne didn’t give the Lich King his power, the helmet does. Frostmourne is significant because it has the power to claim the mind of the wielder, but the sword on it’s own doesn’t make the wielder significantly more powerful. It granted Arthas a bit more personal power maybe, but it didn’t give him control over the undead or control over the powers of Death.

That’s how strength works. You train, you get strong, you stay active, you stay strong.

Or are you one of those idiots who thinks that you could take down someone because you’re so sure you can win despite having a beer gut?

I’m conflicted about this. On one hand we had Bolvar Lich King who was intimidating in Legion and gave clues to Vol’jin in BfA. The fact this scenerio opens up with Sylvanas casually strolling up Icecrown and the undead soldiers don’t even lift a finger bothers me. A whole army greets her at the peak with LK at the pinnicle and…bam!

We cut to the next part where she one shots everyone then “toys” with Bolvar before doing the unthinkable. Destroying the Helm of Damnation. Now we have rampant Scourge, a one way ticket to the Shadowland and poor Bolvar wondering where the nearest smith is to repair the helm. That ain’t gonna be cheap to fix.
