Switching to destruction have a few questions

So I am switching over from Demo to Destruction and have a few questions. As you see below this is what I got from the method guide

Opener

Precast Soulfire
Conflagration
Chaos Bolt / Shadowburn (always prioritize shadowburn over chaos bolt provided you have charges of shadowburn available)
Channel demonfire (if talented)
Malevolence (if hellcaller)
Infernal

After infernal has been used, the gameplay changes to a priority system based on soul conduit procs/shard generation:

Chaos bolt/shadowburn if shards allow
Maintain Roaring blaze with conflag charges
Spend soulfire resets
Channel demonfire on cooldown (if talented)
Incinerate to generate shards

Not capping shards is the highest priority, meaning if you get a soulfire reset but during the cast of soulfire you are going to go above the 5 shard limit, then chaos bolt / shadowburn takes priority over soulfire.

Multi Target

Cataclysm
Conflag
Channel Demonfire (if talented)
Malevolence (if talented)
Infernal

SO MY QUESTION IS THIS

Based on that info above does that mean I have no need to even have rain of fire or immolate on my bars? Seems they are never used

You most certainly do want them on your bars. Sometimes you are unlucky and don’t get Soul Fire proc and need to apply Immolate manually.

Rain of Fire comes up when you have 3+ targets stacked together on some fights. It’s best to have it on your bar should the opportunity arises.

Soulfire applies immolate in that opener, but you will need to cast immolate, which should always be on your target.

Seems you pulled a Single Target rotation guide.

Not capping shards is the highest priority, meaning if you get a soulfire reset but during the cast of soulfire you are going to go above the 5 shard limit, then chaos bolt / shadowburn or **rain of fire** takes priority over soulfire.

From the same guide. Just depends on target count

I’d only do this to dump overcapped shards when Infernal is out.

RoF on less than 5 targets makes me feel bad.
