Switching to Alliance (Shaman Race Suggestions)

Hey everyone, just came back to BFA after leaving shortly after release and since most of my friends quit the game, I figured I would switch over and see the Alliance side of things. Shaman is definitely my main but I was open to suggestions on what race y’all think is best on Ally side. Kul’Tirans and Dark Iron Dwarves definitely caught my eye, but I’m also pretty into normal Dwarves as well. Any thoughts are welcome.

Might I recommend Dwarf?

And if that doesn’t quite suit you, Dwarf is a good option.

But yes, if you’re the picky kind, and you need a last resort, I suggest,

Dwarf.

Mines a Dark Iron. Like their totems and I think the heritage armour will still look ok on a shaman.

Dark Iron look great as shaman and have good racials too.

Dark Iron if you want the more aggressive feel to it. Dwarf for the fun of it. Draenei cause they look good in armor and /waggle.

I like my Kul Tiran shaman quite a bit. I really like their sea theme. I tried a Dark Iron Dwarf before Kul Tirans came out, and I think they have a nice aesthetic. I’d recommend either of those, and of course Draenei. I’d say make a class trial or try one on the ptr, and see how you like their animations and look. Good luck.

Dark Iron have the best looks. They also have cool anvils for totems.

Personally, draenei fit shaman the best aesthetically for all 3 specs.
Im not an RPer, but those connections make me like my character more.

A dwarf casting lightning bolts and lava bursts feels weird to me

“Waggle”

To be more specific, everything from their stance, to their walk/run, to their dance seems to emphasize the “waggle zone”

I’d recommend Dwarf myself, or Kul Tiran if you like them even bigger but with less beard.

Any dwarf is nice, but dark iron are already on fire so they make cooler shamans

or a female kul tiran named Bertha Quake like i was planning on doing if i ever unlocked them

Hopped on to the PTR to try some of your suggestions out. Pretty much narrowed it down to Dwarf or Dark Iron. Looking at their racials now, how good is Mole Machine? Is it worth it?

Pretty much. Males have the football player-esque like physique(which is popular too) and the dance isnt exactly the height of sexiness… for most people, each their own though.

It can travel through time and space and take you to Draenor. There are tons of places it can go to but you have to find the “routes” to unlock them

Its amazing for farming.

If you have any degree of dignity, you won’t pick draenei.

Plus dwarves, both regular and dark iron are funnier, cooler, and allow you to keep your dignity.

After giving it some more thought I decided on Dark Iron. I love the lore of it, and as someone who’s been wanting to do more transmog runs the mole machine + dungeon speed increase is too good to pass up on. Thanks for the help guys.
