Was thinking about switching from Ele to Enh but I’m worried about regearing. I play pretty casually so farming conquest is kind of a pain. And unfortunately I’ve already spent my weapon tokens.
Is there a way to make the switch relatively painlessly, or is my only option to start from scratch (I’ve heard several people say to just start a whole new character).
Agility will become your primary stat so most of your gear will change automatically. It’s latent now, but you can see it greyed out on your armor pieces. Unfortunately your weapons will need to be swapped out.
Don’t do it love muffins! Elemental for life 
most gear would translate. ele probably already has a focus on haste/mastery.
weapons and sometimes trinkets would be the only thing you really have to worry about.
I switched my original shaman from elemental to enhance. You need to change any intellect enchants to agility enchants. I think I crafted a weapon and it uses a different enchant also. The biggest challenge was how differently it plays. It doesn’t feel intuitive to me but even if you spam whatever ability is available or lit up, you will do exceedingly well.
The trick is not switching g. I just made another shammy Vulpera dedicated to enhancement.
My HM Tauren will be ele or resto.

Went from 10 to 70 with little hassle too.

just doesn’t seem like a good trick for changing specs.
I personally find switching gear and editing action bars to be more tedious than leveling. If I want to switch between agility and int builds, something is wrong.
The solution is made easier if you make two shammies. Doesn’t even have to be fun. The reward is great and so is the convenience.

your convenience is more work.

on option 1 we have making a new action bar set up and replacing 2-4 pieces of gear.
option 2 is leveling a new character, making a new action bar set up, replacing ~16 pieces of gear.
how is option 2 more convenient?
if you like alts…that’s absolutely fine. just it’s not more convenient in any sense.

I am not trying to say not to make an alt if you like alts.
but it’s objectively more convenient to just change specs. any notation about it being easy to level and gear up literally proves my point.
