Switch Sabertooth back

Blizzard…If you don’t put this back on the 90 talent row…

I’m just going to have to scold you, I’m sorry, I refuse to believe that someone thought this was okay in the class design team, If you can’t fix this…

I don’t wanna hear a damn thing about you actually reading these forums if this isn’t changed back, there has already been several posts about this now.

It was a mistake, admit it, fix it, we can all try to have fun!

If you can’t however, I think it’s time to move on and I’ll just try out classic because I’m calling you out that you took a step in the wrong direction.

Don’t like competing AoE talents?
Ok, bye…

You’ve put forward no reason that you dislike it’s current position, or why you’d think it’d fit in a tier of AoE talents…

You shouldn’t say anything after saying “Bye”. Kind of defeats the purpose of it don’t you think?

Brat PvE’er, keep your profile hidden.

And you still haven’t placed your reasons as to why your asking in the first place. They’re not even going to consider your approach…

As for my profile, such fun that I can see yours… And laugh…

Help me to understand this, since I don’t PvP as feral.

You need SbT for the stronger FB, but also need LI to build combo points while kiting and keeping your distance?

And as Feral in PvP you don’t use AoE so your decision is to take an ability and move it to a tier that has choices you’d never use?

Sounds like a whole lot of you issue than a SbT issue

No.

Everytime you participate in different content between pve, pvp, M+, to BGs should not REQUIRE a talent change for base mechanical abilities. The 90 row devolved into do I do AoE here? yes? burn tome, pick AoE talent. Do not do any AoE here? no? burn tome, pick ST target timer talent.

But he doesn’t PvE. He’s a PvPer and as such, he doesn’t use AoE which is why he’s okay with screwing up the 90s talent line.

But I agree with you

A whole row of talents that are useless to ferals in PvP, why bother?

BrS has its uses

Might want to educate yourself on that tier 90…
While that tier is now predominately AoE based, Brutal Slash is still very much single target dominant to a point where you’ll want to avoid capping charges, or using it for burst.

But of course, you can continue being horrible…

Booooo… you cant be serious. I mean come on. Row is completely useless on ST and pvp compared to what we use to have

Edit: Didn’t catch Rockfords comment on BrS. It’s definitely got its used

Yes, I’m being completely serious, but I’m not comparing to what we used to have. This tier received an intentional change to the toolkit for AoE. While Scent of Blood and Primal Wrath will not find play in any ST scenario, Brutal Slash absolutely an option for ST/PvP.

If you can’t see that, that’s on you.

oo when the pvp feral realize, balance affinity makes every choice flavor. All the butts get chewed.

I will second the OP’s thoughts. While I understand the posters disappointment, I think the lack of evidence for the claim (anecdotal nor objective) helps the case, so I’ll try to help with some anecdotal experience.

Since patch 8.1 and as an avid Feral druid who likes world pvp. I feel as if my class has a large hole since lunar inspiration competes with sabertooth. Through playtesting my builds, sabertooth is a must due to the talent being able to stand toe to toe with your enemy. However, when being the target and exhausting bear form with survival instincts. I have to somehow create some space between me and the enemy all the while keeping combo points going to use for my predator swiftness procs. Yet in patch 8.1 I cannot choose Lunar Inspriation for medium/long range combo point generation. Thus, I will be running away for the most part.

With that, I cannot imagine that my Bleed abilities will finish off players while I continue to kite and run away from them, all the while keeping predator swiftness to synergize with bloodtalons.
(this I will have to continue to test)

My suggestion is to:

  1. Move Sabertooth to row 100
  2. Remove/move Feral Frenzy to row 15
  3. Move Bloodtalons to row 75
  4. Move Incarnation: King of the Jungle to row 100

Thoughts:
Row 15: This should be about combo point generation. Lunar Inspiration works well in this row. However Predator would need to be moved/reworked and Sabertooth should have to be moved completely.

Row 30: This row should only be about movement increases. The only talent that doesn’t work is “Renewal.” Renewal should be removed/reworked. (Suggestion: Everytime regrowth is cast, your player moves 5% faster for 6 seconds, stacking up up to 5 times.)

Row 45: This is a perfect row. It emphazies a choice between different affinities. (This is a model of how all talent rows should look like)

Row 60: This is also a perfect talent row. It emphasizes how to crowd control your enemy.

Row 75: This should be about generating energy/ passive buffs. This row is close to being perfect but feels “clunky.” Due to the Incarnation buff, while Soul of the Forest and Savage Roar work close together.

Row 90: This is a perfect row. It truly emphasizes your options for AOE. However, if I were to suggest something new, I’d make one of the talents synergize a little bit better for Pvp situation where maybe one of the aoe attacks reduces a cooldown for a spell.

Row 100: This row should be about combo point spending. This row has no synergy what so ever. I’d make sure this row emphasizes how you want to spend/burst your energy to do maximum damage. Omen of Clarity is close as it gives “free” combo point spending. Feral Frenzy doesn’t use combo points, but gives you 5 combo points, (Which makes the row more confusing.) And Bloodtalons, absolutely doesn’t belong in this row with its current state.

I like the idea of having LI and SbT on the same row. Gives you two options of a play style.

LI: you play more defensively. Able to build combo points at a distance while on the move. But at the cost of just flat damage Bite

StB: you play more offensively, staying within melee range. Greater risk (susceptible to melee attacks/abilities), greater reward (enhanced Bite)

And the 90 row is cut and dry for PvP - Brutal slash. The energy to damage ratio is amazing, Omen procs can be used on BrS, and builds combo points. And having a 3 charge system is kind of nice too

100 row has synergy. It’s about “free” damage. MoC allows for more builders at no cost but increased damage, BT increases the damage if your next 2 melee abilities by 25% (free damage), and FF is great burst damage that gives you 5 combo points

Their talent row changes may not make sense right away, but they all have their rhyme and reason.

Lunar Inspiration should just be baseline at this point. The separation of abilities to only be used in certain forms was to mitigate the advantages, now shifting itself is such a big disadvantage and the advantages received from other forms are non-existent comparatively to before when you could actually go bear and tank as a feral or get some solid heals in on a 5 man and save a group.
This has been the issue with feral since the bear split though.
