I mean. This is just a regular guy who had an NPC in a video game. Why are people so upset that it was removed from the game?
If you owned this business (Blizzard/Activision) you would have done the same thing.

It’s a public display of Blizzard removing themselves from the controversy. By leaving the NPC in game, it would look as if they chose sides. Removing the NPC doesn’t necessarily mean they believe the accuser - but since it’s a case of he said, she said - the controversy isn’t likely going anywhere. It’s a smart move by any company to remove themselves from that type of situation. There’s nothing he can do about it legally. They removed an NPC, they did not ban him from the game.
It’s a smart move.
