Swiftness potions

So, swiftness potions now say unusable above level 49, but are still being awarded in pvp boxes to max level characters. Is this intended? Either the potions should be usable at max level or they need to be removed from the rewards at max level.

I have a little over 500. What a waste.

Classic case of “we heard people were having fun, so we put a stop to that”

Use them to farm old content on alts. In before daddy BlizZard nerfs that too.

3 minutes.

there was no reason to do this too us. We buy these, we use them for all manner of content, farming, rp, pvp raiding… its one of the oldest and most useful potions in the game… this was just being cruel for the sake of trolling us.

Fix it.

I agree, and what makes it even worse to me is that we are still being “awarded” potions that we can’t use. Continuing to give them to us after making them unusable is just trolling.

Trolling is at least creative, this looks like an unintended bug.

I mean just buy lightfoot potions, they’re pretty cheap, and increase your speed by a lot more than the swiftness potions. As for the swiftness potions, just send them to your alt. Or sell them on the AH. Twinks might buy them

Yeah cut your losses and sell em on the AH this change sucks but at least we can get some gold out of it

Twinking isnt a thing anymore, Blizzard broke twinking a long time ago, made enchants weak, made gear scaling crap for low levels, and gave everyone passive pvp damage reduction… those who still do it only get a marginal advantage over those who dont, so these potions will be largely unused. At least in my opinion.

Ion team wow pvp design: even when you get a reward, you can’t really use it

Swiftness Potion change was a dumb nerf imo, doesn’t even make sense. As if a temporary +50% movement speed buff is some kind of game-breaking thing

It makes me feel as if blizzard does not care about their subscription count. Alot of the changes they make do not make the game better, but worse. If they want their sub count back to like it was during WoTLK they need to implement changes that make people want to play, not the opposite. I have been playing since early BC. I Try to enjoy the game as it is now, but definitely enjoyed it better during earlier expansions. Alot of the changes with pre-patch and changes to come with SL has put a bad taste in my mouth and hundreds of other players; Blizzard needs to revert the changes with swiftness potions and other consumables. It is absolutely senseless to make alot of consumables un-useable 50+ when they have always been useable at any level. This does not make people want to play more, but the opposite as it has taken a Fun factor away from the game… again. And as far as still receiving them in pvp boxes at max level…This shows you how much time and consideration they put into this nerf. I would love to see this game flourish again, but with changes that take away fun factors that have always been around…all you do is chase away veteran players. Veteran players that bring a sub count around because they are a core to the community. I doubt newer players really care about changes to consumables, or alike.
