Swiftness Potion - Target is too high level

I’m level 50, my swiftness potion says “requires level 3” and I cannot drink it. It says “Target is too high level” in red text. Not sure if it matters but these potions were all from reward packages from winning battlegrounds in BFA.

On the tooltip, it says ineffective above level 49.

That is the same Swiftness Potion that has been in World of WarCraft since WoW was first released. Why, after all these years, it was decided to restrict their use to level 49 and below is beyond me. Hopefully it’s just a bug and will be fixed soon.

Not a bug, they don’t want us using any past expansion potions in Shadowlands and since level 50 is when you can start doing Shadowlands, when it becomes available, its level is included.

The Swiftness Potion was part of the original WoW. It was not added in an expansion.

Why is it necessary to nullify basic items that existed in vanilla WoW?
