or at least swap astral influence and nurturing instinct
Blizzard specifically removed extra range talents from many melee specs in the game and made it a point to tell us this is how they want things. Giving Feral (a melee spec) Astral Influence would be going directly against their design philosophy going forward for The War Within.
Astral Influence is in the Class tree. You can easily get it - He’s just asking for it to swap places to be easier to access
Unless you want Astral Influence on Feral to increase the range on your Regrowth and Cyclone, why do you even want it anymore? It doesn’t increase the range on any of the core Feral Druid rotational abilities any longer. This includes Shred, Ferocious Bite, Rake, Rip, Feral Frenzy, Maim. Even the AoE attacks with an 8-yard range baseline do not get a range increase, i.e. Brutal Slash, Primal Wrath, Thrash.
It literally does nothing for 90% of the Feral kit. I thought this was understood when I made my first reply to this post.
You’d have to ask OP. I misunderstood your reply when you said giving Feral Astral Influence, I thought you were discussing putting it in Ferals tree aside from Druids class tree.
Right. I meant giving Feral the ability to utilize the talent like before— not giving them access to it (as some kind of duplicate??) in the Feral spec tree. And Blizzard is moving away from range on melee. So, I think the OP was confused by this change, or maybe a returning player that didn’t see this change.
Side-eyes Paladins
Trust me. I know.
wild growth is a useless waste of a point. swapping it with remove corruption with it would be good too
This would hurt some resto builds that don’t need the extra range on Astral Influence.
I mean, so is Rejuvenation which you have to take to get to Wild Growth. I think most of us are struggling to understand what you’re trying to accomplish with your proposals. Astral Influence is basically useless for feral in TWW, though it might be marginally more useful in some circumstances than Wild Growth.
wild growth doesn’t go on my bars. rejuv and decurse do.
range on clone, moonfire, roots, etc
says for feral in the title. could also swap nurturing instinct and natural recovery
But you’re talking about the Druid class tree. Not Feral’s tree. Can’t be switching things for just a specific spec when it would affect them all.
If you’re taking Remove Corruption then you can avoid Wild Growth entirely already unless you also need to take Hibernate. Yes, Astral Influence being in that spot would benefit your use case, but would hurt other druids.
Yes, but all druids would be subject to these changes since it’s the class tree.
This would affect both feral in PVE in some contexts and balance druid. Again, we can’t just look at your use case and ignore the use case of other druids, especially the druids for whom those are their primary sides of the tree.
Honestly if Blizzard could move/remove Rising Light so I could avoid having to take resto/balance as a feral druid when I don’t care for those talents, I wouldn’t have much of a complaint with the class tree. Blizzard should make each path of the class tree be most usable to the spec(s) for which their primary function benefits/requires that part of the tree, and the druids who are guests in that space will just have to make do with what structure.
