I would love to try a sv hunter but I have a few questions … how are they with taking mobs ? How do they keep there health up to take on more then a couple enemies? How are they in the islands ? And what pet is the best for solo play … question …taking on mobs…lower dungeons and raids …

Scalehides. Ferocity pet, so you have bloodlust and leech, and they have a shield.
Once you get tier bonus the mobs fear you xD
Using your full kit in solo play is a useful hunter skill. Make good use of your traps for kiting and CCing, misdirect onto your pet for extra threat, and take the Resilience of the Hunter conduit for a nice bit of damage reduction every time you feign death.
