Goofed up last week, I got the scale when Nefarian was low HP and forgot to stand in front of his shadowflame breath to “bathe” the scale. Before I waste another week, I was wondering if:

If I wear the Ony cloak, does it negate the effect on the quest? and do I need to survive
the breath (which requires the cloak)

Does the breath need to hit after he’s low enough to pull the scale or can it be before since I already have the scale?

You can wear an ony cloak for it. You don’t need to survive, it gives you credit as soon as you get hit. You can also complete this portion on any boss with a shadowflame breath (firemaw, ebonroc, flamegor, or nefarian). I would recommend just wearing an ony cloak and running in front of one of the bosses and popping a GFPP as they’re casting it.
