I will admit to buying gold a few weeks ago, 5K gold to be precise. Just got the notification my account is suspended and it is for 14 days for my first and only offense. So for all you that complain Blizz is doing nothing, I am the proof they are.

Update to questions: I am 45 yrs old that works full time and starting a microbusiness so I do not have a lot of time to play. If I get in ten hours a week that is a lot (really wanted dungeon finder in Wrath). My decision to finally buy gold was due to no LFD in Wrath. Bought gold for three reasons; 1 to get flying mount as I am still riding the lv 40 mount 2 buy gear off AH and 3 to help level professions. According to the email Blizz is taking the gold, my mount and items bought. Only things I had done was buy flying mount. The email also stated that any contact by me for an appeal would not be answered.

PS atleast there is a countdown timer on my login screen

do not buy gold and just suffer without a flying mount or ability to buy gear off AH

I need proof that your proof is real for verification. Otherwise, I have to assume you are a paid actor.

Next step is to end GDKP, that Greatly incentivises gold buying and gives gold to some sellers. Doing something about BOTS is also greatly needed. Punishing just gold buyers is like arresting the drug offender while ignoring the dealers.

Next time just buy it on a second account, place it in a guild bank, and withdraw it from the guild bank on your main account. You will never receive a ban or account closure to your main account this way.

Should have used the auction house bruh, not the mailbox. It’s really hypocritical for Blizzard to do this though. They should be going after botters.

-This is coming from a retail sockpuppet.

“The gold buyers are the only reason botters are here in the first place.”
-This may be true but there’s nothing wrong with trading gold so long as it is earned legitimately. The problem is that botters do not earn it legitimately. They cheat for the gold.
