Sadly Bepples has been trolling the forums for years now. Not much we can do about it at this point.
What we can do is celebrate and rejoice that SV has remained melee. Constantly these trolls have risen up against SV only because it is no longer a braindead ranged spec, but those who support having the spec as unique and fun as it is today continue to achieve victory with every expansion.
10.0 will be no different. These forum trolls will fall and Survival Hunter will continue to shine on.

SV is less popular and always will be. BM and MM are easy mode by comparison and many Hunters gravitate towards easier rotations.
Doesn’t mean it’s not a great spec.

I don’t no. Both of those are examples of someone taking a dismissive stance towards what others are saying. Simply put, he uses those words against people with nonsensical takes on for example the history of the class. Takes that have no attachment to reality, past or present. Essentially, he’s saying that he doesn’t care.
It’s certainly a controversial way to go about it, but it isn’t trolling. A forum troll generally does care, they post specifically to cause unrest on the forum. Usually they post things that they know themselves to be untrue, simply to get a reaction from the opposing side(or any side really, it doesn’t matter to a troll). They post to manipulate, to provoke, just for the sake of doing so.
If anything, Bepples comes off as someone who couldn’t be happier if certain people don’t engage in these discussions.

It would not be less popular if it were ranged.
If it’s always less popular regardless of tuning that would suggest it isn’t a great spec.

Agreed. Ranged Hunter is luxurious when you essentially get to play at range and be mostly free of cast times. It’s wow’s easy mode.
I’m glad Hunter has another option.

Why not just have a complex ranged spec? Multidotting would have been a great way to achieve this and it would have been actually unique and useful within the class.

There is no reason to keep Survival melee and thus waste an entire spec. Enough treading on eggshells around a failed experiment.
