Survival rotation question

I’ve read all the rotations for this but my alt for funnies is a Surv hunter; I’m wondering a couple things that aren’t clear in the guides around…

  1. Do you only cast mongoose at 60+ (unless in coordinated assault)
  2. If yes, do you ignore everything else when you start using mongoose to get to 5 as quickly as possible (except using command for focus generation) or do you keep up serpent sting still until you get to 5 stacks and then start ignoring it until they drop?
  3. Should you spam to low focus then start commanding back energy and then spam more (in coordinated assault) or get to 30, dump, Repeat? Assuming you’re not in the tail end seconds of coordinated assault where you could miss an extender if you bite first due to gcd

My main question though is that serpent bite stuff- everything says to keep the dot up but I don’t know if that means only when you’re not trying to get to 5 stacks of mongoose or even in between just not when you’re at 5…

My hunter is ilvl 422 and brand new lol so

Kill command has higher prio than mongoose unless you are at 70+ focus

During mongo window you only reapply serpent sting when vipers venom procs and there is less than 2s left of its duration

Without proc, reaply at 1-3 mongo stacks, otherwise ignore.

Wildfire bomb only when you got nothing else to pop or when its about to reach 2 charges

You’ll want to only start your mongoose bite window at 65+ focus and the goal of the window is too get as many 5 stack mongoose bites in before it expires so you will want to make sure you aren’t focus capped but getting quite a few mongoose bites in. Ideally you should be at 5 stacks with 7 secs left in your window so you just go ham and try to get as many 5 stack mongoose bites out till it expires if you don’t think you can just pool focus until its over and you have over 65 focus with your dots refreshed and begin again.

You want to keep a window of burning Mongoose Bites, but not also making it hard to recover afterwards. If you use Wildfire Infusion then you get more room to spam KC.

What if you’re a mad lad who ties Memory of Lucid Dreams to Coordinated Assault - do you just spam Mongoose Bite as much as humanly possible and ignore everything else?

Have your bombs on CD before u use lucid and only mongoose + kill command.

If ur speced into vipers venom u should still use your procs in the pandemic window.
