Survival or Beast Mastery?

For random BGs and wPvP. Which spec is better?

It’s simple and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The extra mobility feels really nice too.

I main bm and it feels a lot simpler than survival. I always gone hunter because I love the ranged aspect of it surv doesn’t appeal imo. Iv tried it in season 2 and 3 and it’s got more kit to deal with. To me BM feels like it’s in a great spot and just has a good synergy and make no mistake still has lots of kit to avoid dps and kite your enemies and is made better with craven Lego. I haven’t played surv extensively so I can’t comment to much. I never have a problem laying down insane pressure on my enemy and when I’m on them like a tonne of bricks they are popping every defensive you can guarantee that. Bm is a great spec I rate is highly :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

They’re both more than viable for either. Me personally bm gets boring quick to me which is why I enjoy survival so much and it’s a ton of fun to do.

Just play whatever is fun for you

BG is casual content.

Hey now what’s wrong with MM for bg’s . I like MM for the 40 man bg’s, that extra range and the 15 man bg BM

BGs are my endgame content. I find both specs fun. That’s why I’m asking.

If you enjoy both, then what is stopping you from playing both? Play a couple in one spec then a couple in another

Who says I’m not playing both? I enjoy hearing other peoples opinions. It’s not a hard concept to grasp.

SV by far is better and super fun

That’s not what he asked. If you aren’t going to answer what was asked, why even comment? Comments like these are so baffling.

He seems puzzled as to why a hunter would discuss hunter things on the hunter forum.

From what I’ve seen and read SV performs better than BM.

That said ranged can get away with a bit in random bgs and wpvp :man_shrugging:t3:

Lastly, the stats are the same for both SV and BM in pvp being vers>haste>crit>mastery, so, just swap weapons and conduits if u change your mind.

I noticed this yesterday! Actually super nice

Yeah it’s super good. I’m actually playing BM/SV myself and was pumped with that. Legendaries and covenant fit too  good times ahead

But do tier bonuses swap when you change spec or do you have to get diff tier pieces for each spec?

Great question.

Nothing is casual content. Being anything but a hinderance in BGs requires significnt farming even if you are only getting a fair amount of aspirant gear and ranking it up.

Casual being such a relative term, only random BGs can even be called casual anymore in the realm of relevant content because it is the only content that doesn’t require you to form your own group or submit to the discrimination of joining someone elses bespoke group.

That said, BGs are far less casual than something like mythic 0 for example, and you will assuredly encounter and compete against rated PvPers in random BGs. You will fight them. The content you will do in a random BG is, in that respect, the same content that their opponents did earlier in Arena.

I wanted to know this too. I did some looking around and found a reddit page that says yes. It’s nothing official though so, if anyone does know the answer, please share!
