Currently, the spec feels bad to play. Loads of ‘stop and go’ where I’m watching my Focus Bar more than the mobs. Kill Command has a 4.3 second cooldown thanks to haste (which I assume base cooldown is 5sec), and I continuously run out of Focus using a combination of Raptor Strike and Hatchet Toss.
Blizzard, please revert the change to Kill Command. Give us 1 charge, no cooldown, please.
Edit: Beast Mastery spec is even more Focus starved than Survival! By Elune, Blizzard really mucked up these class updates!
they are not going to design the spec for people who play in unintended ways, im sorry.
And yet they are keeping the Floating Houses players have discovered. Why not keep these unintended ways to play, hmm?

huh? they’re not going to remove the unintended ways, it’s just not going to function as well as the intended way to play. its like how an enhancement shaman can’t just spam lighting bolt or how a ret paladin cant just spam judgment
That right there is the problem: Blizzard’s intended way to play is not fun for many players, and forcing them to play the intended way only alienates them.

you aren’t being forced to play that way though. it’s just not giving you optimal results. you can play however you want.
its like how you can’t complain if you sub out cheese for ice cream in a grilled cheese sandwich. it wont taste like a grilled cheese sandwich anymore.
You’re right, I’m not being forced to play the intended way. I’m being discouraged from playing the way I want to play, which is far worse.

thats how wow has always worked. most video games are like that. sorry you’re not having fun
That is not how WoW has always been. Believe it or not, there was a time during Vanilla and the first two expansions, where I felt rather fulfilled playing the Hunter Class! Now… it is just a shell of its former glory.

wait hatchet toss and raptor strike have the same focus cost how are you running out of focus
I guess I am not timing my attacks well? I don’t know, my man. I don’t know. The only thing I do know with absolute certainty: Kill Command having a cooldown and an extra charge has killed the fluidity of Survival Spec for me.
kc has two charges on a sub 5 second cooldown. if you just do things like kill command X Y kill command X Y etc you will not run out of focus.
same way sv hs been for ages and agse
Did kill command not have charges before? I feel like it did or maybe it was the talent where it would reset it’s cooldown that I’m thinking of
Either way give us back our melee abilities
What if I want to do Hatchet Toss/Raptor Strike x2 or x3, then Kill Command x2 or x3, and repeat? Having to switch between those abilities is not fun for me.
@pibblee, During Beta up until the last… two weeks I think, Kill Command had a single charge and no cooldown, and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, Blizzard decided to clamp it with a cooldown and an extra charge.
oh so basically like an extra raptor strike? Yeah I can see how the current one is a downgrade
Up until like a few days before this patch on Beta/PTR KC had no cooldown. Even the patch notes for survival that went live says it has no cooldown. It also says it has a cooldown directly above it. Lol

You’re right.
- “Kill Command now has a 5 second cooldown and 2 charges.”
- “Kill Command now replaces Steady Shot when learned in the Survival specialization tree and no longer has a cooldown.”
Blizz… you’re really confusing us.

what do you mean what if? then you need to wait for focus to regenerate passively
Sounds like a design flaw to me. Also, I’m curious, why do the patch notes say that Kill Command should have no cooldown when in Survival spec?
because they just scraped every change made on the beta instead of the most recent ones
well it’s not lol
