Survival was reworked not too long ago, which is why the Devs probably don’t see the need for a dire overhaul going into SL.
Also, I must be the only one who thinks it’s a blast to play. Mechanically it’s fun and has enough different abilities to give it a varied playstyle.

There is nothing wrong with Blizz “neglecting” our spec it plays the same, feels the same, therefor we “main” SV hunters have a head start. As we know our spec through and through without much change. However I think we should get Fury of the Eagle back.
This does not apply to the current game. Or well, you could do as you say. But sticking with the game while providing feedback, is exactly what is intended. It’s intended that the players go back on the loop and provide the devs with their thoughts on certain parts of the game.
It’s all done with the purpose of trying to make the game better for more players, rather than the few.
Ofc there are some players who post for this reason.
But if you actually go back and check, for the most, it’s players who are replying to statements made by others.
If someone says something like:
MSV is the best spec ever! Besides, RSV was never unique/never great/just a copy of MM anyway, so it deserved to be removed
In a lot of threads, this is how the discussion starts. Or with other similar words/phrases. Either in the OP or in the replies that follow.
Responding to such statements, is not a derailment.

Many do yes, but I suggest you go back and check why/how it starts.
More often than not, it starts with statements made by someone in regards to the old RSV. Statements that aren’t true, that don’t accurately reflect what the old RSV was.
And if someone wants to reply to such statements/arguments, they’re allowed to do so.

Actually not even remotely correct. My m+ team always asked me to run with their 12/12 mythic team. And quite often would be referred to by the guild for the guys that always wanted to try SV.

This isn’t necessarily true. That started happening after many many threads being bombarded by the bepples crowd.
But now that SL is close and more SV players are coming to the forums, I definitely see it both ways. And it’s super annoying.
Not only is our class in a bad spot. But the hunter community is toxic and awful as well. The players are almost worse than the specs.
The class is certainly in need of corrections still. Sadly, it doesn’t seem as if the devs are willing to work on those but instead do the exact opposite.
2 immediate examples for me are Hunter’s Mark and Bestial Wrath.
People in general want the dmg component of HM removed. What is done to HM? They add a 20s CD to it, making it essentially worse than it already is now.
People want Bestial Wrath for BM taken off the GCD again so that the spec feels smoother/more fluid. And BW fits the criteria for an ability that should not be on the GCD.
What do they do?
They change BW so that it now deals some upfront dmg when activated. Not only does this not make BW feel better to use, but it also goes directly against how you want to initiate a fight by activating it and then go for Barbed Shot.
As for the community, sure, some players certainly are toxic, but I put the blame on those who caused the divide. Especially when it would’ve been easier to implement MSV in a different way, without hurting existing specs.
Absolutely agree. Some day in a perfect world I’ll stop coming to the forums and then I won’t have to worry about it.
Unfortunately I like to read the forums so I don’t see that happening soon lol.

Select their avatar. Then select their forum history. Where is says normal, select ignore. And I always pick the forever option for the timeframe. On a phone I have to type in “forever” for the option to pop up.
