I am on quest Surveying Secrets in the Maw and Surveyor Mnemis has me protect him for the final notes. Mob spawns, no notes. I have to talk to him again to restart and another mob spawns. I am stuck in this loop and cannot progress.
Saw this note on WoWhead. Maybe give it a shot?

Forgive me for probably being annoying when I know you’re frustrated. I’m just trying to cover all bases here.
It doesn’t look like you manually loot these, they just are auto-deposited in your bags. You have looked there, correct? Not trying to be purposefully obtuse, it’s just often times it’s something so painfully obvious that’s simply overlooked for being, well. Too obvious.
