Survey questions

Didn’t get the survey, but all the questions where leaked on wowhead so gonna knock these out.

  1. How interested am I in a Classic version of TBC?
    Extremely.
I love my vanilla era lock, but damn if the premade only meta in bgs isn’t awful to play against.

  2. How likely am I to play a Classic version of TBC?
    Very likely.
I’ve literally already farmed up several thousand gold worth of gear/mats for my elfadin ret reroll, and annoyed my guildies endlessly in discussion there of. I will be playing it

  3. If Blizzard launched a Fresh vanilla-Classic on P1, how interested would I be in playing it?
    Not very interested.
Having literally JUST done it, I’d probably wait a while to do another vanilla run. Particularly since there where some incredibly annoying things like No BGs at the start (which combined with poor faction balancing made for piss poor pvp), and when there where bgs, it was a garbage premade meta. That said, Vanilla Era warlock IS still my favorite iteration of warlock and one of my favorite spec/class combos in the history of the game, so perhaps I’d come back for another round eventually

  4. If they did a fresh start realm (above), would that toon be my main? or an alt?
If I where to roll on a fresh realm, that would be my new main.
Ain’t nobody got no time to be double maining. If I rerolled at all, that’s my new main.

  5. Where do I think I’d spend the majority of my time? (between a hypothetical fresh vanilla classic and a TBC-Classic)
    TBC Classic

  6. Rate my experience with the following categories for the past 30 days of wow:classic : PVP, Dungeons, Battlegrounds, Chatting with friends, Mount or Pet Collecting, Raiding, Questing + Leveling, RPing in game, Crafting and Gathering
    PvP: Very good….
I’m a warlock in naxx gear. Sucks to be everyone else.
    Dungeons: Very bad
Finding groups in p6 for dungeons is awful. The quality of pugs has been equally bad, and that damn banshee wont drop my saphiron wand. I haven’t even tried getting an ubrs group with a key for my rogue’s evisc book, and god help anyone trying to do dungeons while leveling outside of boosting
    Battlegrounds: Very Good
    Chatting with friends: Very good
Mount or Pet Collecting: Not Applicable
    Raiding: Very good
Finally got to content with enough of a backbone to fight back, looking forward to progressing
    Questing and Leveling: Very bad
Basically entirely boosting based leveling now, because you muppets allow it. Also a substantial source of gold seller’s gold income as nearly every booster is a barely english speaking obvious gold seller
    RPing in game: Not applicable
    Crafting and Gathering: Somewhat bad
crafting is more or less fine, gathering is against a bunch of bots/fly hacks/teleport hacks, or asian gold selling companies.

  5. When playing WoW, overall how often do you encounter bad behavior from other players? (This question needs to be split between classic and retail)
    Classic: Sometimes
    Retail: Most of the time

  6. Wow offers several methods that you can use to respond to bad behavior, how many have you used in the past 3 months?
Removed a player from a party/raid over behavior: Aware of method, not used in past 3 months
Reporting with in game reporting system: Used in the past 3 months exactly once.
Add someone to in game ignore list: I’ve used this in the past 3 months… (Hell I use this just to keep people out of my teamate queu pool in bgs if they suck)

  7. Overall how effective is reporting abusive players in wow?
    Not effective at all.
You lazy tools at blizzard outsourced your reporting system to scripting and automated functions. It’s been a trainwreck for years. That’s what happens when you let accountants dictate policy

  1. In the past 3 months, how frequently do you see the following behaviors in Wow? (I’ll respond first with regards to classic, and in parenthesis for retail)

Players cheating (ie botting): Sometimes (Sometimes)
Players going AFK/Not participating in the game: Almost always (Almost always)
Spamming emotes: Sometimes (Half of the time)
Abusive text based chat: Most of the time (Almost always) *but I’m not bothered by spergs being spergs
Players with offensive names: Almost never (Almost never) *I don’t get offended by people’s stupid names
Being kicked from a group without cause: Never (almost never)
Spamming chat: Almost always (Always)
Advertising products/services: Always (Always) *that’s not even counting the boosters/carries that are not against the rules, but a veritable plague on both classic and retail
Players griefing or deliberately inconveniencing their own team: Almost always (Always) *it’s nearly impossible to get a pug v pug game where every member of both teams is actually trying. It was a MASSIVELY bigger problem on retail with a certain subset of server’s non english speaking playerbase. One could argue that the clowns queuing up for BGs on a fresh 60 with leveling greens at this point could also qualify… a naxx geared player could sneeze and take out 6 of them the gear gap is so large by p6.
