Surprised we have not had any news

“we’ve been frantically breeding Hamsters to power the servers just like we used 14 years ago, We’re not quite there yet as the lil tykes get exhausted after 3-4 days running so bear with us as we engineer a stronger more resilient hamster like the old days.”

Ythisens, I just wanted to say I appreciate you taking the time to check in with us and it’s very exciting to hear you will have news to share soon. I’m on the edge of my proverbial seat, sir!

I going to take a guess in the dark on why people want news of classic.

BFA is hot garbage on a completely new level of hot garbage.

Classic was epic and the most fun some of us have had in our gaming history.

Do you understand now?

wow classic will not need a beta like current wow does. Simply because we know what to suspect, how stuff should work, and there is no need for “Oh i dont like how this plays” or “oh this quest should not take this long” cause we know… thats how its supposed to be… and it wont be changed.

Alot of the beta in current is “How does X feel” “How does the playerbase react to this quest? too long? too short?”

It will just be bug testing, nothing else really, as everything is set in stone, no class balance, no class tuning or changes.

Ill take completely irrelevant points for 400 Alex

and that is what they are testing internally, they are not going to ask us players to do their research for them, because why should they trust us, when some of the most popular “blizzlike” P-servers are giving upwards of 40% more exp in the later quests then they should be?

Considering that they have a beta and get TONS of feedback and listen to ZERO OF IT…

ZERO OF IT.

THen yea we dont really need a beta

Glad to see Ythisens check in again. Hopefully the news will be good news and not more changes on the way.

what changes have they announced?

Classic should have an extensive beta test.
Get it right. Don’t push things out in a hurry like the last expansion.
It’s not just the game itself but the process that’s going to be needed to be done correctly.

Well we went from no news to news will be coming…I’ll take it!

It’s pry not said enough but thank you Ythisens.

Why? The list of things that were 'wrong" on the demo has been cut down heavily due to PS scripting not being right.

They have the correct code,The correct data,The correct balancing and aside from bugs which invariably make their way into any game on launch they don’t really need a beta.

I considered a Can’t Wait Any Longer version, but decided it probably wouldn’t even get as far as CWAL2 did. And to think we specifically kept our distance from them in the hopes doing so wouldn’t snuff them out.

Made for some fun head-meat material until I decided to kill it before finding its way to text.

Of course, where to post it would be the other issue, as it’d be off-topic for practically every Blizzard community forum there is.

thank you for the news mr. blue!

The news should be:

"We are opening up the demo from BlizzCon again, available to anyone. 3 zones per faction and you must create level 1 characters this time.
Enjoy and feedback can be given by /bugreports "

I mean, they literally did not, they listened to thousands of reports if not millions… just because they dont fix that one bug you found does not mean the million they did fix, suddenly did not exist.
I did alot of reporting on the beta, and about 98% of the bugs i found were fixed, with the 2% being the odd less important one, or just visual… Like wrathguards holding 1 weapon and soulshards still not showing for other players… ffs.
