I currently have the quest “Surfacing Threats” and I can’t complete it as it is asking me to repel the invasion, I already did that but the quest won’t prog. I abandoned it to try again but I can’t do the invasion again.
Has anyone had this issue so far? Is there a way to fix this? I literally can’t do anything on 8.3 as I am stuck in prog. Thanks in advance

Literally, it will let you turn it in, long as you have the bar filled.
I ran into this bug last night. It’s completed, just not marked in your journal as completed long as you’ve filled the bar. And beaten the “boss” at the end.
It’s a minor graphical glitch.
I can’t turn the quest In, the progress bar is long gone after reaching 100%. I went to the NPC and everything, also if I kill a rare, as one of the optional objectives, it marks as complete and then goes back to the start, as if I haven’t killed a rare.
The little rare pop up thing will constantly pop up anytime your near a rare from what I understand.
I just used that as an example, I still can’t turn the main quest in so I can’t prog. at all on 8.3, all this waiting for this ;-; I tried logging in and out, abandoning and retaking the quest, going to old Uldum and back, doing objectives on the assault area, just in case it will give me some sort of progress, I have talk with every NPC that I can but nothing.
Did you try just going back to the quest giver and turning it in? LIke I said, I had the same graphical glitch in my quest log, but when I talked ot the quest giver it just let me turn it in.
Though you did abandon it, I’m not sure if that will effect that…
Yes, that was the first thing I tried.
Hmm, I’d say try to go around and see if it’ll still let you break things? Break a few things, kill a few rares, go smack the big “boss” at the end when you see him up, then try again?
I know it’s not ideal, but might be enough to jostle the system awake.
If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest either putting in a ticket, or posting in the bug report forums.

I can’t break stuff, I spent 1 hour killing mobs, doing rares and elites, opening chests, doing the activities inside the assault area. At this point I am just waiting for a GM to tell me it’s a bug and I will need to wait God knows how long for it to be fixed. I read somewhere that it could have happened that I did the turn in while in a raid group and that’s why it’s bugged.
