Server Information
All servers will be transitioned to TBC on May 4th, 2021
All servers will get a pre-patch April 20th which will unlock Draenei/Blood Elves and allow Shaman/Paladins to be leveled by the opposing faction prior to TBC server transition on May 4th, 2021
Fresh Vanilla servers will launch April 20th, 2021
NO plans for fresh TBC servers
Classic forever realms will be release around launch, you can pay to copy your character to these realms
Tokens and 60 Boosts will be added at some point during TBC's lifetime

AoE nerf for mages will be present
No word on racial balancing so most likely not
No server population adjustments (Blizzard is hands off and paid server xfers = $$$)
No gold or item restrictions or caps

I’m out if I have to pay to copy my character to the forever vanilla server, seems like they’re just trying to squeeze the last bit of money out of the forever vanilla crowd before they eventually leave.

It would be identical to launch TBC.
Personally I really hope it doesn’t go through, Farming SSC/TK trash everynight till everyone gets their crafteds and weapons is going to suck.
not only that but the first PVP season is going to be mostly dominated by raiders rocking weapons the season wasn’t really designed for.
I guess on the +side I can instantly relegate all tier 4 bar gruuls to weekend status once everyones attunes are done. This will help a heap with burnout early but will be terrible when it comes to tier 6. I guess a perk of it is everyone will have what they need from tier 5 and tier 6 once SWP is released and we can basically ignore most of the game.
Title is incorrect. This wasn’t even a supposed leak. This was just a pure rumor. Even Staysafe laughed it off.

These are not leaks. This is some rambling person on reddit. They have NEVER made people pay for transfers for a change blizzard made themselves. Similar to how they don’t make players pay to respec when they make talent changes. It’s really simple. Some of the things he says will happen but not the paid transfers to classic servers. If you say enough things eventually you will be right.

Arena weapons are raiding bis… I think people will be doing arenas till they get weps.
This only really holds true for sword rogues and only for their offhand sword.
And that’s provided Latro’s speed doesn’t outweigh the dps loss.
Season 1 weapons vs tier 5 weapons/ crafteds are a flat dps/damage loss.
I don’t trust any leaks. We’ll see what happens in 2 weeks.
I read the leaks regardless. One thing I noticed was the actual scheduling of “phase” release dates such as ZA and SWP. This did not happen in “Classic Vanilla” - the release dates came whenever Blizzard wanted them to and they weren’t pre-announced - so it is unlikely here.
Lol, making people pay to stay in vanilla, as soon as I read that I knew this was all BS.

Seems a bit premature on the release; I know blizzard has a tendency of doing strange things, but June - July 2021 is more realistic provided there is no beta open yet.

God. If this is true it’s going to suck to transfer most of my characters to Classic Forever servers. Depending how much Blizz charges but I bet it’s going to be a lot.
I’m OK or even thrilled with the May 4th launch (which was actually the more plausible “leaks” prior to this one, that I’m believing /buying just out of optimism to start playing my paladin that I’ve been prepping for)
As for these leaks specifically
Pushing t5 immediately seems powerfully dumb, though… Weapons way above and beyond what most people had in season 1 or even the first few weeks of season 2.
The massive gap before swp seems unlikely as well.
I’m not buying this latest round of “leaks” just seems more like some reddit sperg trying to troll for attention. Some random clown always pops up to do this.

I’ve seen like 4 different versions of these rumors now.
If we get enough versions, one of them will inevitably be correct… but that doesn’t mean they were based on leaks.
