DHs in general are restrictive to a ridiculous level -- among other things, having only one race that can be them per faction, and being the only class that has exclusive access to an entire weapon category (which had previously existed in the game as a 1H sword skin before they became their own thing).
I'd love to see glaives be expanded to other classes. At the very least warriors and rogues should be able to use them, too.

These spammy free the glaives threads are getting desperate. Thankfully blizzard knows better than to listen to the whines of general forum goers. Glaives are already limited as is. If non DH classes do get glaives, they shouldn't get the same appearances currently available for DH.

Trolls used them a bit in some NPCs, calling them iconic to trolls is beyond disingenuous, just absurd.
The only iconic weapons are the night elves warglaives. Sure they are enough reason to free them but let's not make them to something they aren't.
Warriors, Monks and even Frost DKs should use them. Warriors and Monks specially given they are borderline fist weapons and warriors are just masters of all weapons.
They don't look like good rogue weapons IMO.
By that Logic DH shouldn't get access to any other weapon besides warglaives.

Hmm idk. I seem to recall many trolls having glaives. Mostly Shadow hunters & let's not forget the Warcraft 3 Witch doctor. Also our dear friend Vol Jin :D
Blood elf's wise Spellbreakers are by far the most iconic with a glaive. But let's not forget a few names NPC's have them as well. Hell Lor'themar use to years ago!

Yes, please. I have a sad every time I see Darkspear npcs with them.
They can let priests use warglaives for all I care if they actually bother making some good looking glaives that aren't locked behind removed content....
Please, I play a night elf demon hunter and want glaives unlocked for other classes.
I would love to be able to use moon glaives on my Hunter/warrior.
It would also be nice to get more simple glaives too, kinda like what the original demon hunters had.

Honestly, this is the one weapon that should be available as both a melee and ranged weapon, in WarCraft III it was shown to be a throwing weapon. Ion said they would consider using that silhouette for other weapon types as well, but I think they should make that exact model available as a 1h, 2h, and some kind of ranged ... maybe label it as a crossbow but give it unique animations for it being thrown?11/09/2018 10:25 AMPosted by StrideGlaives for survival hunters!
