It’s interesting I mentioned this in reply to a topic yesterday about the new mount that has released for $90, and today I see in my Battle.net feed a sale that is granting 100% of the proceeds to a cause. It would be a great idea if you amended the sale of that mount to include a charitable donation.
I have my reasons for opposing the purchase price of the new mount, which I’ve stated elsewhere already. However, I challenge you to donate a hefty chunk of those proceeds to a worthy cause, such as for cancer research for children (i.e. St. Jude’s). I pledge to purchase your $90 anniversary mount if you made the purchase worthwhile.

I did not purchase Dino originally, even though I could have.
I did not purchase Dino this time either, even though I could have.
I’m not anti store, or mount sales nor do I support the posts raging about Dino.
I would rethink buying Dino if half, or a third or even a quarter of it went to charity.

100% of the sale, so not the taxes that go along with the sale. Read the fine print at the bottom.
Eh, that would help Blizzard with their charitable donation tax write off more.
Depends. 99% of charity’s are strait scams that line the pockets of the org runners and not the people they claim to help.
So?
Are you saying you wouldn’t buy a something supporting a charity because someone else might get a tax benefit from it?
they already did. you get a cool mount
99% of claimed stats are made up on the spot.

Prove me wrong then. I was being hyperbolic with 99%. But most are scams. If you are to foolish to realize it then give them money. I dont care. Im just telling you facts.
You claimed 99% of charities are scams.
The onus is on you to prove it.

What’s the point of buying dino when almost everyone’s buying one? We can take advantage of that…
Not going to entertain this argument since you clearly dont know the rules of debating. I made a claim. You disprove it. GG for having no argument.
Kind of impossible to say honestly, depends on how many registered charities there are
But the charities that blizzard picks tend to be real ones
But as always, research before you donate

I take it you in fact have never debated anything.

The point is that there are proceeds going to a charitable cause. Yes, taxes, awful as that is. Another discussion all in itself.
Not saying that at all. What I am saying is don’t think that buy Blizzard giving proceeds to a charity that they are not getting some type of benefit from it. The suggestion just moves Blizzard from getting money on the front end to them just getting it on the back end. It also give people the excuse to buy the mount for a good cause. This way they don’t feel bad wasting $90 on a mount.
Besides with most if not all charities you can donate directly to them. No need to buy anything from Blizzard and help their tax benefit.
nothing funnier than people who think everywhere they go is debate club and also don’t know anything about it beyond the names of a few logical fallacies
Exactly! Very wise words, indeed. I’m hesitant, for example, to give to CureDuchenne, only because I’m curious to know the methods of their research.
Proceeds just happen to pay for the ceo’s salary. I mean common its 2024. People can’t be this gullable.
