Curseforge has Boostng services ads all over the website. Mythic+, leveling, AotC, item level, arena gladiator, ect.
Curseforge is also a twitch partner.
This is where 90% of players get their addons.
Why isnt there enforcement disallowing this?
Why not ban curseforge and let some honest websites like wowhead host addons, or even this official site?

I cant post a pic because it’s literally an add for mythic+ boosting. I get about 40% adds for boosting as i click through and I’ve saved 20 different pictures in 5 minutes.
I’m magnificent., mom says i can stay up late and play tonight so im getting the snacks and drinks prepared.
curseforge is independent of Blizzard Entertainment and, I’m no lawyer, but it doesn’t look like curseforge is violating an US laws with its content.
Same goes for Twitch. Blizzard Entertainment doesn’t own twitch so they can’t tell them what ads they can/cannot have on the entire twitch platform.
Blizzard does have control of players and the terms of service for their games. That’s typically where you see enforcement with boosting services in the form of player suspensions and account bans.
lol.
u do realize that is what cookies do? everytime u visit a website, it replaces all the common ads with stuff from your cookie cache file.
for example: when i am on curseforge, i see ads for refrigerator water filters. because that is what i was researching before buying one for my refrigerator.
Blizzard has ban waves at regular intervals. Basically they gather up all the info for those cheating, exploiting, real money sales, etc. and then ban them in mass. If you hang around on the forums when it happens you can watch all of the “i’ve been wrongfully banned” posts show up
Use google news and search for “Blizzard ban wave”
Right or wrong, that’s how Blizz has chosen to handle ToS violations, among other violations.
Then search " Blizzard Takes Action Against Gallywix and Gold Selling for Real Money" from August 2020 when they “begun taking action and have banned accounts in North America and Europe that were associated with this group and taking part in the real money trading transactions.”
They do not have a 24-hour turn around time on banning people after someone reports them, it’s usually significantly longer and often part of a coordinated ban wave.
Targeted ads are crazy theses days, I swear I can think a thought, or talk to a friend verbally about something, and then all of a sudden BAM ads about exactly that thing even though I never remotely put anything about it through a device…creepy…
