Even after increasing each stack of Unerring Proficiency by 5% (200% increase at max stacks…600% total), it still can’t compete.
I want it to. I really like the idea of empowered Supernova being central to the spellslinger toolkit.
If it reset the cooldown of supernova at max stacks??? Boom! problem solved, this would be a go to talent not just for damage, but also for the increased rate of interupts we would have.
If it sacked to some ridiculous amount like an additional 5% per stack and increase the stack cap to 40! (1000% total) Boom! Problem solved, because I can get some mega hit in every 45 seconds, and easy sync with ToM cooldown, causing me to forget how annoying it is to be on cooldown while slivers keep going to nothing.
Right now you even have a glowing box around it when it hits max stacks, which only calls attention to the fact I still need to wait 15-20 seconds before I can cast it again.
I would Love for supernova to be an opener, mid hit, and finisher on pack pulls. And bounce the group into the air more frequently and have some teeth to it.
Funny. I literally just tried this talent for the first time last night. For PvP of all things!
Didn’t get a chance to try it out yet. I’m a sucker for big boom instant spells. I want it to work, but yeah, it probably needs a damage increase or CD reset.

For this talent to not just be the worst thing ever to play w/ in M+ it does have to reset CD at max stacks else it would just be grief to use it for dps over utility.
In ST I think it would be fine else then the fact we have to sacrifice a class point node for it which effectively means we lose some defensiveness in someway for DPS which is not a good change either.
Overall I think by far the healthiest change to the talent is make it so that at max stacks your next arcane barrage or arcane barrage or ice lance causes a supernova at the targeted location which would benefit from shatter and NP respectively which can create some more interesting gameplay loops around it.

Eh, honestly I’d rather it stay undertuned. An utility spell should remain as utility and I wouldn’t like to have it as part of my throughput, especially in M+.

I love that idea! This would be great to employ.
