Time to give rewards based on how much you did rather than just hovering in the vicinity
No real incentive for me to bust my tail while a dozen players just sit there on their mounts and watch

So dont. Work the system like they do
You do get rewards, those dewdrop things.
If enough people sit there AFK for Superbloom it might create a spontaneous order where everyone decides to do it.
Accelerate it. Go afk.
I dont think they will ever change this. Its open world content so the design idea they seem to be going for is that it needs to be easy enough for every player no matter their skill, or disability. So the dad or mother that has to be able to step away at a moments notice, or the player that is legally blind, or the lazy player that just wants to do nothing and get rewards. They all pay for the game same as you so they deserve to play it how they choose. If it bugs you then either dont do group content in the open world or just ignore it and mind your business.
It annoys me too but i always see it as im having fun doing the activities rather than sitting there bored on my phone so that helps. I also liked how they did the time rifts where the reputation and flakes you got was much higher than what the afkers got. So it made me happy to know that id get the rewards and exalted status much quicker than the non participants.
Why work extra hard?
And the purple bag having nothing that useful in it is probably a good thing. That a bunch of the dragon glyphs only come from the blue bag is probably going to start being a complaint in a few weeks when interest in doing this drops off.
And even dew drops are becoming pretty irrelevant for most people. Decent expansion zone but pretty shallow in terms of long term goals. You get everything fairly easily.
They tried to change up the model from Time Rifts, but still failed epically at it.
I do stuff for dewdrops and to get the weekly done just for that transmog set. Once I’m done with the transmog set, I will not touch that horrible world event again.
Between the AFKing, the fact that it’s counting people who aren’t even involved in it, the random phasing and the bags being useless anyway, it’s a terrible experience.
I don’t understand why people do this. It really takes about the same amount of effort to participate as leeching off others.
turn on world pvp, show up like 5 minutes late. you’ll prob end up alone in an instance and you can work the +42? or what ever bonus. its almost more efficient than having 100 people with 90% afk.
Hey if I gotta use the bathroom I gotta use the bathroom.
I’ll afk lol
The problem with this event is that it moves, plenty of times I will be camping a rare and the event will come to me so it will look like I am AFK camping the event, but in fact am not. Yet because I am now inside the events parameter the scaling changes, I get rewarded for doing nothing and that means those actually participating have a harder time being rewarded.
They could very easily make it so you are not part of the event until you take part in the event and if you stop doing activities that reward bloom, after 30 seconds or so it should remove you from the event.
And that should be the same for all events.
I’m starting to think it knows I’m just waiting for that last piece and is refusing to cough it up.
You should play at the speed and intensity which feels personally satisfying to you and not worry about what other players are doing. It’s open world content. That’s the beauty of it.
there is plenty of leaves, push over one of the Dreamtalon out of the way and use their spot.
The worst part is that I have almost none of the pieces on my druid. I’m nearly finished with the mail set.
Full 15 minutes of running around collecting things, or show up at 13 past the hour and catch the tail end of the final battle.
It’s not great, but there is no benefit to run the whole event after the first couple of weeks of running this content. And thank god for that since it’s tied to a lot of weekly quests. It’s not engaging content with zero replay value after you’ve done it a few times.
Could you imagine if they forced you to run the whole event for the weekly? And we get to do that for the next 8 months?
That’s entirely different from the people who just AFK to the end. The event is based on bodies in the area, whether they participate or not. And it makes it harder when half are AFK and the other half aren’t even around the area for the event at all.
Yesterday, I was the only one doing the event. The points are supposed to be higher if no one else is around to help you finish it on your own.
I was only getting two points per seed and weed. And this time, no one was AFKing, the event was just counting people in the area who were sitting in town or planting seeds or doing world quests nearby.
I tried that and the leaves I found were itchy.
They had 3 leaves and were on a vine.
oh dear… please consult with a herbalist to determine the correct leaves to use.
if the problem persists consider getting help from an Alchemist.
if you suspect it to be the result of a poison effect you can ask a random Druid for assistance in removing any corruption / cures.
The moment Blizzard makes it semi-engaging, and not a mind numbing 15 minute 0 fps grind I’ll participate
