I don’t know if this is bugged, or if I’m missing something, but I haven’t gotten the weekly(?) “Cache of Overblooming Treasures” reward once for completing this. I’ve done enough to earn the Blossoming Dreamtrove (the epic bag) from maxing out the 8000 points during his walk, but still nothing.
Is there a quest chain or something that unlocks being able to get the reward cache? Is it something that was intended to be removed with TWW but messed up with it still displaying on the map? (Hoping it’s not that) Is it just bugged?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Yea the quest comes from the dryad that follows along and makes old man jokes to the ancient.
I haven’t seen her offer any quest before, during, or after the event.
I haven’t seen her offer that quest before, during, or after the event.
I think you got the quest in Valdrakken the one time you did it, and it didn’t come up again because that quest NPC has a rotation. This is where the quest originally comes from, and has since day 1 of the Emerald Dream zone back in DF S3.
I’ve never done the quest.
Don’t know what to tell you then. Not sure how you managed to get the weekly cache without taking the quest that rewards it.
Oh my god, how much clearer could I have made it?
I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS CACHE. That is precisely WHY I am asking how it’s supposed to be gotten because I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET IT.

EDIT:
Figured it out. For future reference if anyone finds this while trying to work it out themselves, you have to finish the quest “A Multi-Front Battle A Multi-Front Battle” which is the last quest in the “Enter the Dream” storyline.
Only then can you get the Superbloom cache (despite it showing on the map when you can’t why bliz why)
