It takes 18 minutes to complete a superbloom event. All the while, you are mindlessly getting 5 thingies per action, translate into 40-50 per minute if you are actively participating. After a few rounds of this thing and the patch hasn’t even been out for a week, I’m already burnt out. The 8000 needed for purple loot is way too much, I’ve missed it multiple times because people afk out. I understand why it’s so high since it just came out and there was and still is a flood of people doing it, but mainly at certain times ya know when most people play.
I just think… how does Blizz make something like Time Rifts, which were something exciting, fun, something always (mostly) different, and only took about 8-10 minutes. Time Rifts are one of the best events Blizz has ever made, if not the best. I read the grieving comments about Soridormi rep being less than desirable and I get it, but that has nothing to do with the event itself. Nearly 20 minutes in superbloom checking email, watching youtube, etc, is too long and eye wateringly boring. It wouldn’t be so bad if the treeguy moved faster, we required 4 to 5 thousand instead 8 thousand. It wouldn’t be so bad if the tasks weren’t so dull. I’m not asking for time rift-esque tasks because that’s impossible, but the only way to fix this bad event is to make it way shorter than what it is.

I agree, it’s way too long for a repeatable event. Might be tolerable for a while as a weekly. I’ve ran it a couple of times when I’m in the area and it’s going on, but I doubt I’ll actively seek it out.

It is really great at giving the resources needed for the seeds but so far that is all.

It’s so boring. I don’t blame people for just tagging trash and going AFK.

I dont think its a bad event.
But i do think the rewards for repeat playthroughs of it dont add up to the time investment.

Yeah, it’s not a particularly engaging event. I’ve only done two, and the second one gave me basically nothing as a reward. So I guess I won’t bother with it until next week. I certainly have no desire to participate for the “fun” of it.
I really love the zone, but it’s feeling a bit light on activity. Is it one of those things where more stuff will unlock in coming weeks? There’s little hubs with npcs all over the zone. Are they going to have stuff to do as well?

Not enough quests for rep. It sucks so bad that they have only two wq at a time too one of them being bugged for me this week. Really low rep on the seeds like only 5 rep like WTF.

To be fair, rep is supposed to take a while. It’s only week 1 of the patch. I’ve been exalted with all DF reps besides Loam because idc, since around june. My post isn’t about rep, it’s about the event.
if you wanna talk about bad rep grinds, MoP ten years ago would like a word

Its only 5 if you dont raise it all the way up.
As an event, its okay. As one of the “main” things to do it sucks.

you don’t even need to tag trash. you just have to be there. I just did one where I was grabbing the little ground loot things, and was getting all the credits for people that were doing the killing.
Not worth doing this event unless it’s a busy time where lots of people are involved making it easy to get the purple reward. Otherwise, unless you’re desperate for farming some dewdrops, don’t bother.
Would be nice if my friend Sprucecrown and his little assistant had more than like 3 lines of dialog that they repeat every time he falls asleep.
Yeah you told me about that flutter of fairy dragons four times in the last 6 min, grandpa. Keep walking or this mean little deer girl is going to put caterpillars in your hair. She keeps talking about it.

In other words, 10.2 is just like 10.1…

I think the Dream is fine overall, but yeah Superbloom is awful.

I felt that way about all “events” this expansion. And I hate the timers of them. And the fact they are “group content” which on dead realms yeah good luck nobody gonna be around helping you.
Failure content in my opinion, unless they make mega servers or fix dead realms

But Superbloom isn’t a “nice thing”, hence the thread.

It’s pretty insane. 15-20 minutes for an hourly event?
Not sure why Blizzard thinks these massive AOEfest community events are such great content. The community feast was somewhat novel at the time but they’ve just gotten more and more tedious with every iteration.

I wish Blizzard would stop with these type of events…this one…the cooking event and many others is great for the Lazy players that don’t want to help out they just tag along and get their rep free cause of us players do all the damn dirty work for them…Blizzard needs to make it where if you don’t do a specific amount of damage though out the event then you don’t get loot or the rep…I am damn tried of supporting lazy players.

The feast was great because it wasn’t an AoE event, YOU as a player were given tasks to do and YOU had to do them because you were the only person who could. (Apart from the occasional beastie attacking the pot.)
You could get a slow trickle of rep from Community Feast just standing there, but you weren’t going to complete the “do 5 tasks” quests without actually participating.
And it was the quest that gave the Flavor Pocket, which was the primary reward.
